anyone rent a var(or happy limo) to port canaveral or stay near the port the night before?

I'm just wondering, if we rent a car, drive to port canaveral and stay at a hotel nearby. Do the rental car
company provide me a ride to the port after I drop off the car, and on the cruise return day, can I get a ride to pick up a car?
Same question for the hotel, do nearby hotels give you a ride to the departure port?

Yes! Just make sure you rent from one of the companies with buildings near the Port, shown here: http://cruiseportcanaveral.us/car-rental/

All popular cruise hotels offer shuttles too. But you may want to keep the car during your stay so can drive to the port area for dinner, etc.

On return day the rental car may not be the most convenient option if your flight is early (say around lunch time). It will be faster to book a private shuttle for example.

Yes, there are shuttles to get you to/from the port. Make sure the company you are renting from has one though.

I have used Budget and Avis and I know they do. We have a full size car for about $45 on each leg of our cruise next month.

When we've done this, the car rental shuttle was free; all the main rental agencies offered this service. Port Canaveral area hotels may offer shuttle service, but don't expect it to be free unless you have booked some kind of park-and-cruise rate.
