I just heard something about a ride called Dreamflight that was sponsored by Delta in Tomorrow land in the 90s sometime. I went during the 90s and I do not remember that ride. And we rode EVERYTHING. Does this sound familiar? Where was it and what replaced it? :confused3

Yep I remember it-- but I remember it from when I was a kid (before the 90s).

It was where Buzz is now. It even follows the same track. Great ride, very relaxing, short lines. It was about air travel.

Sure do! I'm a little fuzzy on the details (thanks to MommyBrain!), but I think it was roughly where Buzz Lightyear and Timekeeper are now. It was one of those slow-moving cars in a chain, like Haunted Mansion, rides. It traveled through the history of flight in a thinly disguised marketing campaign for Delta. Even so, I remember liking it!

Wasnt it a ride like you were flying? I remember something where it felt like you were flying..It was fun..

I rode it in the 80's when it was - If you had Wings sponsored by eastern airlines. It was the first moving sidewalk I'd ever seen and I rode it over and over.

YES!!! Corny as it may sound, that was one of the rides that felt like "Disney" to me. Our family was never into anything beyond sedentary rides when I was a kid, so all my trips to Disney consisted of these mellow rides and those are what I still prefer today (nostalgia I guess).

Believe it or not, even though I've been dozens of times (mostly as a kid/teen when I lived in Ft. Myers), I've NEVER been on any of the following:

Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain
Haunted Mansion
Dumbo
Tea Cups
Snow White
Astro Orbiter
Test Track
Mission Space
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

...and I'm sure there are more I could add. Yet I don't feel like I'm missing out when I go because I really have enjoyed the rides I do go on! (I'm 35).

I remember riding it in 92 (my first visit to WDW was when I was 18!). I loved it. Like others have said, it's where Buzz is at today. Do you know that part where they project space ships and stars on that roundish room? Thats' where they projected clouds going by quickly and made it look as if you were flying through them. That was my favorite part.

I loved this ride. I clearly remember it from my childhood. We rode it twice because my dad hated lines and it had no lines!!

I really like this ride alot, especially where your car turns and turns and turns! But I like Buzz Lightyear much better (I think thats what took it's place!)

This ride was one of those rides that I KNEW I was at Disney World when I was riding it :) The song was great as were all the sights. I really liked looking into the airplane as well as looking over Paris. Absolutely one of my favorite rides of all time...which i guess isn't a surprise based on my username here ;)

How did the song for Dreamflight go? All I can think of is

If you had wings!
If YOU had WINGS!
If you had wings had wings had wings!

(Which will now be in my head for the rest of the day. :))

My family loved that ride too for some reason! Like many of you have already said, there was never a line. We still sing that song from time to time--it definitely is one that stays in your head for a long time. I was a kid when I went on it, but I love the end were it really looked like you were "flying". :)

You guys wouldn't be interested in, say, a home movie showing the whole darn ride would you? See: http://www.distantcreations.com/**************/archive.html - scroll down a bit to find it.

Isn't the interent cool?

PS - If you are a big Buzz fan, you can practically feel the whole Buzz ride while watching this.
