I have been checking some Cozumel websites in preparation for our "Magic"al cruise next week.
On several of these sites, I have noticed articles or discussions of a Tax refund effective July 1, that would refund the 10% sales tax to all tourists in Cozumel that spend over $100 US dollars in purchases - as they are leaving the country. (other parts of Mexico are 15% refunds)
Seems there's still confusion by the merchants as to how this works... should be some type of kiosk set up for refunds at the airports and international piers...
Has anyone received this refund on any purchases this month? Are there signs or places to "cash in".
