Just wondering if anyone reads J.D. Robb? I am so addicted to her "In Death" series.

I like the books she pens under her real name - Nora Roberts. I haven't read any of her J D Robb books. Anyone read both? If so how do they compare?
Actually Nora Roberts lives about 15 miles from me - in the next valley. (OK so it's a weak claim to fame - it's all I've got.:o )

I read both the Nora Roberts books and the JD Robb books. The Robb books are more like detective novels with a dash of romance thrown in. I like pretty much anything and everything that she writes. Whitegloves also reads both. She originally only read the Roberts books, but I introduced her to the Robb books also. Afterwards, she went to the library and got every book from the In Death series that they had.

Velvetgloves is right. I am hooked on both styles of her writing. I was at a flea market yesterday and actually found a Roberts book we hadn't read yet. Snatched it right up. LOL! It's with the vacation stuff to read while we are in transit. =0)

I love J.D Robb and Nora Roberts books. I have read them all.

The last In Death book was really good. Gave more depth to Roarke and Dallas.

I highly recommend the series! :)

Good to know I'm not the only one. I started just reading Nora Roberts but everytime I went to Wal-mart I couldn't find any that I haven't read already so I decided to pick up the first "In Death" and I am so hooked. I have been reading and average of 2 a week. I don't know what I am going to do when I get to the last one. Good to know a new one will be out this fall and that she leaves them so open ended that the series can continue.

mom2boys - that is so cool, do you run into her much?

I love the In Death series and have read them all. Haven't read much of her other series books tho. Maybe this winter.

herc.

I LOVE the "In Death" series! They are a fun read. I am more picky with Roberts. I enjoyed the Three Sister's Island trilogy, but I don't grab every new Nora Roberts book when it comes out. However, I am anxiously awaiting the next In Death story. I own all of them including the two "short" stories that are part of a multi-story book. Eve Dallas rocks!:Pinkbounc

Count me among the addicted -

It's sci-fi, mystery, and romance - all wrapped into one! :)

Nora Roberts "regular" books are some of my favs too.

I have seen the two "short stories" online at Amazon. So they fit into the series and at what point should I read them?

I've only read the Nora Roberts penned ones. My mom has read the JD Robb and she enjoys them.

I first read one of J> D> Robb's short stories (in a 4-in-1 book) and was hooked on the "In death" series. I went to the book store and bought 8 at one time and read them back to back - like one every two days! Then I had to search to find the missing ones. I eagerly await the next book - I think she has another one coming out in November.

Dallas is one tough cookie...and Rourke **sigh** what can I say about him?

Ginger - the one in the anthology "Silent Night" is Midnight in Death and story wise falls after Holiday in Death, the other from "Out of this World" Interlude in Death falls between Betrayal ID and Seduction ID

From Nora Roberts Website

Nora's "IN DEATH" series has been optioned by Fox 2000 for Mel Gibson and Bruce Davey's studio based Icon Productions as a full-length feature film. More details to follow as they become available.

WOW wouldn't that be cool.
