Anyone purchasing a phone card to use at WDW?

I would like to call home while at WDW, however I do not have a cell phone.
Anyone purchased a phone card and taken it with them?

I have. A $5 or $10 Walmart phone card goes a long way.

I think the first time we went I used a $5 card and made 5 or 6 calls of 10 to 15 minutes at least back to Canada, plus a couple of local calls to my husbands cell.

I would agree that the President's Choice phone cards sold at Loblaws Superstores are a great deal - we had read about them on these boards earlier this year and my parents used them when they were in South Carolina for in March of this year.

It saved them a fortune on long distance charges. It works out to 4.5 cents per minute, and there are no services charges or additional fees, other than the cost of purchasing the card (they come in $5, $10 or $20 amounts).

Another vote for the $5 PC phone card! We got ours in the checkout line at a regular Loblaws.

I've only bought the phone cards from PC myself. I would HIGHLY recommend you bringing a card with you or getting one there because i called home from the caribbean beach hotel and 5 minutes with my dad to tell him we got there okay (hurricane had just hit and was predicted to hit again 2004) and it cost me something like $40 USD!! Ouch. that'll teach me!

I bought a phone card from Walmart for our trip this year and it saved me alot of money. You can just use the phone in your room.

Another vote for the PC card from Loblaws/Superstore. We used one back in May and I can't imagine anyone ever using a full $10 card which is nearly 4 hours of talk time.

I used to always use my Bell calling card but now I use the Walmart / Sam's Club calling card - so easy and inexpensive. I also give them as gifts to my friends and family to travel.
