Anyone plan on getting the Droid Bionic?

My DH is planning to get a Droid Bionic. He received the email from Verizon that they are available to order. He plans to go to the Verizon store tomorrow to order his phone.

Anyone else as excited as he is about this phone? I don't get what all the hype is about.

I'm seriously thinking about it, but I'm going to stop by the VZ Wireless store later today to "play" with it. I already have an iPhone 4, but the 4G LTE data excites me! If I do get, I'll likely just get it at the store, since I don't want to wait for it to be shipped.

We always get ours shipped because in-store you always have to pay and get the "rebate" on a card at some point in the future, but if you order online you just get the discounted price. They ship overnight, anyway.

Maybe there's not, there just seems to be on every other phone recently. We got our X2's BOGO like a week after they came out, but we'd have had to pay full price for both if we bought them in the store.

Verizon did away with the rebates for phones. They now offer trade in rebates for your old phone, but new phones will no longer have to deal with the mail in rebates. So now the end result is new high end phones will be $299 when they first come out, but then offers such as BOGO and $50 price breaks start much earlier than they used to. Costco also has an accessory bundle (extra battery, charger, car dock, case, screen protectors) plus the phone for $20 cheaper than Verizon sells the phone by itself!. Amazon has the phone for $250 for existing customers, $179 for new customers.
