Anyone paid cash at BWV lately?

We want to book for next August at Boardwalk with 1 or 2 cash nights. The rack rates are insane $690 for a 2 BR and $319 for a studio. I'm just wondering if that is actually what people are paying this August, or if better pricing becomes available later in the year.

Anyone willing to share what they have paid recently for cash nights?

We were in Vero last month and we paid $149 with tax (each room) for 3 studios one night and the remainder of the stay was in a Beach Cottage on points. I can handle $149 for a room - but $319 is a bit much.

We were at BWV in July, and paid $198 studio, and $238 for a one bedroom. Those are the member discounted rates. Last Christmas I actually got a one bedroom at BWV for $218, but that was an annual passholder rate. It's been so long since I have just gone down and rented a room at Disney, that I am out of touch on the current rates that cash customers actually pay. When I called yesterday, and made ressies for next March, the woman told me that the regular rates for Animal Kingdom Lodge were $289 for a parking lot view, and $345 for a pool view--I stayed there earlier in the summer for $167 for a pool view, so I was shocked. Port Orleans was $169 and $194. Thank goodness for DVC and annual passholder!

It has been at least 4 yrs since I stayed at BWV on cash because now I use my pts; but I stay at other resorts on Fri & Sat nights a lot to save pts and experience the other resorts and I can tell you there are some very good room rates to be had at WDW now. Between room code discounts, ap discounts, DC discounts, residents of certain states discounts, Canadian discounts, the list goes on. You might try to check out Expedia too. I looked into disc rates thru Mousavers and Expedia prices we actually better. The rooms I saw in my trip time we about 35% off rack rates. We ended up booking a YC conceirge room for not much more than the other disc rates. And with 4 boys--2 teens--they will certainly eat ours monies worth, lol.
