I fell in love with a ring on QVC, and was wondering what everyone's experience was with diamonique?
I have an engagement ring (and its actually a set), and I love it b/c its special, but its small and was looking into something a little bigger, am I silly for wanting a new set?

I have had good experiences with Diamonique. I usually read the reviews first to get an idea how people feel about it. I bought a new bridal set from them and it is beautiful. So many people think it is real and since it was not expensive if I lose it I won't be heartbroken. Try them - it is very easy to return.:goodvibes

I have numerous pieces of Diamonique jewelry (earrings, rings, bracelet, pendant) and I love them all! I get compliments on them all of the time.

I have an anniversary band that I have been wearing for 6-7 years and it still looks brand-new!

Yep, I do. I've been wearing the same ones for about 15 years and they still get compliments. My original engagement ring is an emerald...when we were young and talking about getting engaged I wanted something different and picked it out, not knowing how soft emeralds are and how wearing one every day will result in a ton of scratches on the stone (I'm not a gentle/dainty gal)...so after having the stone re-cut after about 1.5 years to remove the deep scratches, I got my diamonique to wear every day. I think the big key is to keep the size smaller so they're believable (if that's what you're after)...although I tell a lot of people that mine are fake diamonds anyway, just 'cause that's how I am...and they're always surprised.

I have several Diamonique pieces - the platinum clad. One is a wedding set that I wear alot and I can't tell you the comments I get on how beautiful it is. I was at the eye doctor a few weeks ago and the receptionists were oggling all over it. Sometimes I will tell people it's fake - but most of the time I just go along with it. No one can tell the difference, at least with the platinum clad pieces I have.

I agree to keep it small if you want it to be believable. I've worn my Diamonique engagement style ring for years while the real thing sits in a safe deposit box. It looks real to me!

thats the one I like, I don't know how it will look stacked with either an eternity ring or a solid gold band though.
We have a weird story, we've been engaged for 5 years, finally tying the knot in Disney. I was only 20 when we got engaged, we got a trio set his and mine. His totally tarnished and mine's in good shape, they were very cheap to begin with, all we could afford (I think all 3 rings were under $500, I dont think they are even real gold obviously b/c I don't think gold would tarnish), but I don't want to spend thousands on diamonds.

Do you think that one would be believable?

Wow, that is a very pretty ring. I think I want it too!
The comments are very positive, the one person has had it for 10 years. I just have one set of Diamonique earrings and I don't wear them very often, but they still look great and I've had them for years.
Good luck with your decision.

I have a Diamonique anniversary band that I wear next to my real engagement ring. Looks completely believable.

I have worn it since 2001 every day.

I also have their small stud earrings that are lovely and look great.

I will tell you a secret...My engagement ring is a QVC Diamonique. Hubby and I could NOT afford the real deal 13 yrs. ago and to be honest all I really wanted to wear was the wedding band. So to make all the family happy of doing the traditional engagement ring and having an engagement party, I bought one and didn't tell anyone it was fake. Well, the gold is 14k and the stone is 1 carat with 2 little side stones. No one who has ever looked at it can tell it isn't real and I am still glad to this day we went that route. Didn't start off our new life with that kind off debt since we both had college loans to pay off. Even after we payed them off, still never bought a "real" one. I would rather buy a pretty diamonique that shines just as well as a diamond and use our cash to make memories at Disney, cruising, etc... If you like how it looks, that is all that is important. And to this day I still like that Diamonique ring and will be forever greatful to QVC for selling such a high quality ring that kept hubby and I from spending money we didn't have :)

I'll also share a secret.

Horseshowing can be a dirty business and hard on jewelry. I actually have a Diamonique ring that I wear when I'm out of town at horse shows. I don't have to worry about hitting it on the stalls or trailer or anything else or hanging it on a saddle pad, etc. (I actually did bend one of the prongs once and just took some pliers and pulled it back into place! :rotfl2:) I also don't have to worry about accidentally leaving it in a hotel or having a stone fall out in an arena full of dirt!

I got mine off ebay and have had numerous people swoon over it when I've had it on. It's about 2 carats total and looks completely real. ;)

My secret- my eternity band is Diamonique! I wear it righ next to my diamond and wedding band-also diamonds. 14 k- no one knows- even my sister with the nose up in the air thought it was real!

That's beautiful! I think it will look believable because the setting looks like a nice chunk of gold. The not-so-believable ones, in my opinion, have a thin band and a huge diamond.

My experience with Dimonique has been not so good. But my mom has a large emerald cut dimonique stone set in gold and she has worn it for years with no problem, and everyone thinks it's real.

I had a pair of lever back earrings set in gold and the stone fell out. I had a pair of pear-cut earrings set in silver, the stone fell out. I bought a beautiful platinum-clad ring with a carat trillion and a lot of pave stones. I was so pretty but it scratch within 4 minutes of having it on my finger (literally!). So my experience with Dimonique is really a bad one! But, QVC is so good with returns it is totally worth it to try their jewelery.

I think you made a good choice. I've actually had my eye on that ring for several years. I think the fact that it is set in gold and not a "clad" metal makes it worth it. Can't hurt to order it and check it out.

I love mine and wear it every day. The only complaint I have is that the band scratched VERY easy. Platinum Clad. No one ever questions if it is real or not and frankly I don't care. I don't see any point in spending that kind of money on something for me to loose or have stolen. I have my grandmothers diamonds that we are having remounted for me to have a "real" set but something tells me that my diamonique will be worn most of the time.

Absolutely! Mine is 14K yellow gold. I (personally) wouldn't bother with anything that wasn't set in real gold. JMHO (Of course, in my case it would immediately turn due to my body chemistry or flake off. Others may not have those issues.)

I have several Diamonique pieces. Everyone oohs and ahhs over them. Everyone thinks that they are real. I only had one ring that the stone got loose in and i took it to the local jeweler to tighten, other than that no problems.

I'm wearing some now! I had to replace my wedding band because my fingers swelled during my pregnancies. I actually wear the diamonique daily because the other still doesn't fit, and I don't think anyone has noticed it's fake. I like it and I'd buy it again if I had to.

ETA: mine is white gold

So pretty! I think so, the center stone is 1.5 carats, totally believeable. :thumbsup2 I don't think you can go wrong with either a solid or eternity band.
