business? Was is profitable? My father is thinking of this venture - planning to sell @ the ballpark mainly - where he can sit for 2 days from 8.am. to 8 p.m. w/non stop games & they'll take 20% of profit.

sounds decent to me - I need a bit of extra income so now he's got me thinking & checking into it...but of course there's so many machines - different price, etc

Alll I know is he's planning on 2k for a machine - wants shaved ice - not snowcones...

Any one had this experience?? :confused3

I've not done it personally.

I just wanted to say it sounds like a great, profitable idea!

Hopefully someone with experience will be able to help you out. :)

No info, but I love shaved ice. I would go every day if I could just to get some.

I have a friend who does well with it. I'd imagine it's all about location. On a hot day at the ballpark I'd think he'd do well just by the volume that goes thru there. Even if he got 10% of the customers he'd probably be happy.

One of my brothers owned and operated a Hawaiian Ice shaved ice cart/stand when he was a teen. I was out of the house by then, so I don't know much about it except that it was quite profitable for him at that age. He rented the space from a local business, and his profits came from the locals and from tourists.
