Anyone on the waitlist for their Home Resort for F&W?

I was just wondering if anyone's already been waitlisted at their home resort for the F&W festival. I know that a few years ago, some people were waitlisted at home resorts at 10 1/2 months for the week of the Annual Meeting. I was so surprised! I had missed the exact 11 month day to call, and when I called, there were only 2 resorts available (fortunately mine was one of them). I'm especially thinking of BCV and BWV. So if you've had to waitlist already, what resort and room type was it for?

Just w/l at BWV for 3 days (2 add'l days I was able to book). This is for the standard vew though, I could have had PV/GV for the whole 5 days. Was also offered 5 nights at BCV (we have points there too) but didn't want to use my BCV points up. BTW, the ressie was for a 1 b/r. Will we see you at F&W??? We'll also be at HH immediately before and after the trip (3rd week in October).

IIRC, that 10 1/2 thing was only for standard view and boardwalk view at the BWV. That wasn't a big surprise to those of us who routinely booked those categories for early December.

Are you saying that you called a few days into the 11 month window and MS said only two resorts still had availability? What dates ( and resort and room type) were you trying to reserve?

I find that very hard to believe that all WDW DVC resorts except two were booked solid just a few days into the 11 month window. Did you mean to type the 7 month window?

I'm waitlisted for a PV/GV studio at the BWV for 10/18..we got the 2 nights before and after....SV and BVW studios were booked for the same time period....I called 1/16 for the reservation....forgot to call earlier

Yes, that's sort of what happened. It wasin 2003, I think, and I'd missed exactly 11 months (let's just say, life got in the way), so didn't get to call until around 10 1/2 months. At that time, only availability was OKW and BCV. No VWL or anything at BWV (studio). I don't think any of SSR was open then.
Dis-happy,we'll be returning to HHI for Thanksgiving. Sorry we'll miss you. F&W will be 10/16-22.

I'm waiting on my BWV resale to close...hoping to get in for October before the 7-month window opens up...sounds like I may already have to be waitlisted. I knew this was a popular time, but man...

I figure if I have to stay somewhere else this time it's OK. I'll still have years and years to enjoy BWV.

That's the week we'll be at F&W too, cool! Planning on HH for Thanksgiving too, unless we decide to head to CA. See you around....
