Anyone on the 12/30/12 cruise out of MIA?

Well there seem to be a few more of us, can't believe it's getting so close

Just booked 3 rooms. Six adults & Four kids traveling in our family vacation. Couple of questions:

1- Does anyone know if there is a "fish extender" list for our sail date? If so, how can we sign up?

2- Does anyone know if there are any special events going on onboard for new years eve? Is there a specific dress code that night?

What do they do on New Years Eve? We are booked and I thought it would be fun but we have never been on a new years cruise. It does seem pretty open

We've only been on one, but it was Formal Night so we all dressed up, they had one of their signature shows in the theater, there were free alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks in souvenir glasses, a great deck party (Donald was baby New Year) and fireworks at midnight.

We made a somewhat last-minute decision and just booked this cruise! We're going to surprise the kids (DS -8, DD -4) with it on Christmas morning. I'm the only one in the family who has ever been on a cruise before, and this is the first Disney Cruise for all of us. We're excited and would love to meet others who will be there, too.

Welcome Aboard! We took our DD's on their first cruise when they were 7 and 4. Now they are 17 and 14 and still love it!

Is anyone planning on the FE?

Has anyone gone on a NYE cruise before? I am just wondering what they do.

Do you think this cruise will have the IGT OGT or VGT rooms, we are trying to decide if we should cancel and wait or not, but thanksgiving doesnt seem to have any yet so not too sure, i think final payment is approaching too. Any sugggestions?

Hi all, a couple more parties joining your party:
I'm a dad from NYC and Boston bringing my 13-year-old daughter and her 11-year-old-friend.
The dad of the 11-year-old is coming from the Boston-area too, but he booked separately with his two sons, 15 and 13.
This is my daughter and my second cruise, but I do have a fair bit of Miami expertise, so if anyone has any Miami-specific questions, I'm happy to try to help.

Hi! I want to know is there is a FE group in place?? Any idea of what will be happening for new year's eve??? Thx

I booked this cruise for my DD (6) and I. We don't have friends or relatives to spend NYE so I thought it'll be good to get onboard...but I'm having second thoughts and I am afraid of doing it by myself...

Am I crazy for doing the cruise this time of the year by ourself?

Any other single mom\dad? Any suggestions for things to do at port?

I know it's kind of late to asked, only 3 weeks away, but today I woke up feeling nervous and with major cold feet...:confused3:scared1::guilty::sad2:

Hi! We are new to this board & to cruising! I've just learned of the fish extenders though. Have you found anyone doing this yet?

You're not crazy. You and your daughter will have a great time. You'll meet other singles, and your daughter will meet other kids. No reason to stress.
