So I went and played around with the Free Dining option on Disney's website, just for FUN, and noticed that when I had a 4 or more day ticket selected I could choose the park hopper or the water parks and more option with out an additional cost to my total. (I know you have to pay for them, as they are required with this offer) But with a 2-day ticket, I was only allowed the park hopper option without an additional charge, but the water park and more had an up charge. Wonder what gives?

Since free dining requires one or the other to be added onto tickets I think your just misreading the totals.

Tons of times when I price stuff out it automatically picks one or the other for me when I get to the ticket screen. They definitely aren't giving it free.

What's with all the ......

Actually I noticed this last night while I was playing around. It might be a system glitch....book it quick before they notice!!!

No, I understand that you have to choose one or the other and they are not giving them away. Sorry if my post is not real clear. I guess I would have to do the math of some sort to figure it out better. I just found it interesting.

You know something, I keep seeing people say they are on the website pricing these stays out for fun, why? I would think you would be mindful of all of the people who keep having trouble booking that actually want to book a stay because the servers are overloaded. Just a thought.

If your ticket is 3 days or less, the park hopper option is only $50.00. On anything 4 days or longer it increases to $64 which is the same price as the watermarks option. This changed with the last increase.

It's all part of the game and games are fun. Some people hate the ADR game too. I love it. Getting the reservation you want at a price that's in your budget is fun. Sometimes you have to mess with it a while till your choices come open. Same with ADR's. I snipe at every convenient time till I get what I want for restaurants. Once I get the room, the deal and the ADR's I want then I'm done and I win.

How else are you going to know how much you vacation costs if you don't check around with different resorts and packages.

In what you describe you are actually looking for a price for your trip. From her comment I gather "fun" to mean she just wants to see what it is and not really interested in booking at all. So that's site compacity that is just being use to for no reason other than to play around, when other people could be using the capacity to actually book trips. In a way it's kind of like booking up a hard to get ADR that you know for a fact you aren't going to use.

You're right. That's no fun at all. If I don't have a trip in the planning I don't even go to the site unless I hear something on the news or FB.

Really? How ridiculous!

Thank you for the answer.

When I check prices 'for fun', what I mean is that if I can get a screaming good deal at a time other that what I have planned, I would pitch the idea to all parties & try to get us to change dates. The likelihood of all of that happening is slim, yes. And, every time I do it, I realize I probably won't find a better deal than mid January early feb....
