DH and I have never e-filed our taxes. Yes, I know that you get it quicker if you e-file, but I like to have my check in hand, all at once. Anyone else?

No, we E-File. What do you mean all at once though? Do you mean state and Fed? When I got checks and when I E-file they always come seperate.

I have not e-filed yet. So far, there is always a charge. I am not giving anyone anymore of my money. When it's free, or if I can get a rebate, I will do it.

I like to see the whole check. We are bad and never balance our checkbook, so we never know what is in there and wouldn't see the check if it went in!

I was the biggest scaredy-cat when it came to doing taxes on the computer. However, I took the leap and did it last year for the first time. I loved it! I couldn't believe how easy it was and how fast my return came! :goodvibes

Turbo Tax give you a rebate for the efile fee.

My particular TurboTax (this year) does NOT have the e-file rebate. :guilty:

I got it from Costco this year and it is specially packaged for Costco customers. It was a "deal" at $23.99 for the Deluxe plus a free state download. It says "fees apply to e-file."

It is still a lot less expensive then having a CPA do your taxes and just as accurate.

Oh, I agree. I've been using TurboTax since 2001. Just not getting the e-file rebate.

I always E-file. I never get any back, always pay, but still do the E-file. it is the best way. Also, I use TT. I do think this year they eliminated the rebates. I did not get that far yet, but saw no mention of in/on the box.

I do all my banking online-- so to efile just would make most sense to me. I don't need to see a paper check. Rather, I like having the deposit in my account within about 2 weeks. I want my money... :woohoo: .

The version I have does have a rebate for the free efile, I have it all filled out ready to send back.

We have an accountant do ours, but you do realize if you don't do direct deposit that you could efile and still get the check sent, right? We of course do direct deposit because you get it so much faster, but that's optional.

DH and I usually do ours on paper, I actually liked doing it myself, I know I am strange. Ours are pretty simple though. This year I decided to do it online and e-file using taxact.com and it was quick and easy. We were able to file for free, state cost 12.95 to e-file though
