I was just telling the OP in a PM that we've been buried under 24" of snow for the last few days, and today the kids finally went back to school - but doesn't one of them throw up at breakfast. I was finally looking forward to cleaning up this place & getting all the wet snowsuits, snow pants, gloves, boots, hats, etc. washed back where they belong - and just general peace & quiet - but it wasn't meant to be! Now I'm stripping beds & disinfecting the whole house with Lysol. Using these codes just saved me some cash & that brightened up my day!

To the OP that asked how you get them - are you signed up to get the Airtran emails? That's how I got mine, by creating an account with them. They send them out every few months.

To the OP that asked if you can apply them to baggage fees - I only fly with carry-ons, so I don't know the answer to that, but I'm going to assume yes you can, unless you've already paid your baggae fees online. I was able to use coupon codes to pay for seat assignments, because I chose not to pay for them at booking. You cannot go back & apply a coupon code to something that's already paid for. And you can't apply more than 1 coupon code to any flight - so if you originally book your airfare using a code, you can't go back after-the-fact and then try to book seats with another code. I tried & got the error "limit 1 code per person, per flight."

I think these were part of the Little Debbie Sweepstakes promotion. They were orignally set to axpire on 1/31/2010, but I read on FlyerTalk that they extended the booking deadline until 2/28.

I posted this question a minute ago, but maybe someone here can help me. I'm thinking about booking one way flights there and back. This way I can use $10 coupons each way - 4 for the way there and then 4 on the way back - to save our family of 4 $80 instead of $40. Is there a problem (reason) why I shouldn't book one way fares? The prices are the same?

The only drawback to seperate one ways is that if you need to change or cancel, there will be seperate $75 fees for each way, instead of one fee for a round trip reservation.

I tried using them for Oct flights and they wouldn't work once I got to the payment screen I kept getting an error. So if you use them for August flights and your payment won't go thru that's why.
