This is a good deal, but amazon usually has it for around $20 and the black on black has been seen under $15 ( but not right now)

I have the defender for my iPad, it's bulky and easily doubles the weight. I do like the protection though.

Haven't purchased one for my iPhone yet, I dock often and it's my understanding that it doesn't work well for docking.

No, it doesn't. Nor does it work with external batteries. I have an Otterbox Defender (white & black - looks like a storm trooper) but don't use it often. It works great, very durable, protection is outstanding (I dropped my phone in a parking lot during a rain shower and didn't realize until I got to my car, then ran back out to find it and the phone itself was perfectly fine, just had to wipe of the wet case). But if I need to dock it or use an external battery for extra juice (such as on the golf course using a GPS system and no power plug available) it is a problem.
