Anyone need a last min credit for SW?

I booked a trip last November and ended up canceling and now have an $89.70 credit that expires on June 25th with Southwest..I know this is very short notice but I'd been hoping someone in my family would use but no one has the extra money right now..So I figured if anyone can use it I'd rather do that then let it go to waste...let me know if you are interested!
 
these are still available, had one person who thought she could use them but turns out she can not..so if you want them let me know..thanks!

I take it that the travel dates must be before June 25?
 
I would Call southwest. I had a situation where I had a 250 dollar credit.... and I was about a month out.... I called them and actually got them to credit the money back to my credit card...even after alll that time.. it's worth a shot... They did it for me... u never know!

How did you get them to do this? I've heard they will NOT do that, I've got a week left til it expires so...
 
we called....and basically complained that we could NOT use it under any circumstance at that time... and they said (and it didnt require much twisting of their arms..) said OK... but we are noting this on your account and you will NOT be allowed to do this again.. I got my credit on my card a couple days later. Its worth a shot

Ok thanks I'm gonna try giving them a call now

just spoke with a rep and no they will not credit it back to my card..they said i can try customer care on Monday but not likely goig to happen..

I've seen a few posts from folks who who say they were able to talk SW into giving them a refund or a courtesy extension. I think those cases must be few and far between though. I've asked, and they've never done it for me either OP.

Did you know you can pay a $50 fee and get a 6 month extension on the credit? I hate paying the darn fee (just did it myself on a RR award) but if you know you'll be flying anytime before Christmas this year, it would be worth it with an $89 credit.

I hope something works out. I'd hate to see it go to waste too.

yes i know i can do that but it don't really make sense to pay $50 on a credit that is only worth $89, i'm not really coming out much ahead..i'll call customer care tomorrow and plead my case..the worst they can say is NO..
 
Not to be rude or anything, but you stated that you had 4 people interested in your credit... So why are you still asking others? If you are giving it away, then the first person should have already had it. Just saying... :confused3

At this point it appears that the credit will be just going to waste, what a shame..I've contacted customer care and they will NOT refund the charges to my card...if ANYONE can use these please let me know..thank you!
 
I was close! But needed it for Saturday. It IS a shame. Sorry!
