Anyone know where I can get a free street map of the Orlando area. I don't need an electronic version, but do need a hardcopy!

I picked one up from AAA, but it still is too high-level with only very major streets, and not too much emphasis on the Disney area.

You would need a map of the Kissimmee area then. If you are looking for a map that shows Disney property you can have to go with an electronic one.

AAA is the only source of complimentary hard copy maps that I know of. If you know the areas you want to visit, then I would look at some of the online maps that you can print, and print out the areas you want. Also, if you're an AAA member, you can go to their website and do detailed maps and driving directions for just the parts of Orlando you will be driving in, then print them out.

I don't know what you got, but my AAA Orlando Citimap is extremely detailed and shows every street. It is about 4 x 6 feet in size. It does not have very fine detail *inside* WDW property, but that is understandable. (AAA used to divide Orlando into two maps, North and South; but they discontinued that a few years ago and now just have one huge version.)

For street details inside WDW proper, you need a WDW Transportation Map, which you can call WDW and ask to have sent. You can also download PDF versions of the Web, but the ones I've been able to find are a tad outdated and do not include Pop Century.

Never mind. The maps I posted are good for looking at locations on the computer- not so good for printing out.

However, I will put in a plug for AAA's online TripTiks, which are now free for anyone to use.

Someone reported a few months ago that WDW quit publishing the Transportation Map. Is that correct?

Now that I typed that, I'm wondering if they meant Transpo Map or Property Map?
