Anyone know when the Character Dining themes will be changing

Someone posted that the character dining themes will be changing. Plaza Inn will change to Princess them and Ariel's Grotto will be changing to a Mickey theme. Anyone know when this will be happening? Is this for the 50th? I can't wait for all these changes!!!!

I called yesterday and the CM at dining said that he had heard the buzz about character changes. He couldn't confirm which restaurants or which characters. I asked him when he guessed they would be changing. He thought maybe for the holidays! He said to keep calling back and that the Disney.com website would post the changes.

If anyone hears more info, I'm sure it will be posted here.

Does he think just for the holidays or the holidays and beyond. I hope it's the holidays and beyond. I'm going next summer. If they change the character diinings I'm going...if not it'll be the same ol thing.

My understanding is that it will be a permanent change once it happens.

My mom and dad just returned with my niece and the Plaza Inn character breakfast is changing to a Princess character breakfast as of November 1st.

We will be there for Thanksgiving week but my DS who is 8 will probably want to pass. Wonder if they are changing any other characters around?

60 days in advance for a PS.

What a bummer for us that DDs 5th birthday is on October 30th. We will be driving home on Nov 1st.

Yes, the Plaza Inn takes PS's for the character breakfast! I think you can call up to 60 days in advance.

As of 10/12 disney dining had not heard of that switch.

If you look up the Plaza inn breakfast online, it refers to dining with favorite characters. I think it used to refer to dining with Winnie the Pooh and friends.

Doesn't say anything about princesses yet.

Maybe only Plaza inn employees are aware of it, not the dining hotline # ??? Don't know, hope the change does happen.

How do I get the tickets ahead of time for the princess breakfast? How far ahead of time do I need to do it? I am going end of November/first week in Dec.

You call the dining #(714) 781-3463. They can make priority seating reservations for you for the day you want to go.
