Anyone know the status of the Mickey Statues?

We were totally bummed in March because they were supposed to be at WDW during our visit. Then all the Eisner stuff started, and Disney pulled them and transported most of them to Philly for the stockholders meeting.

Since then, I haven't heard anything about them.

I think they were supposed to 'tour' the statues, but I can't seem to find anything on the internet. Rumor had it that they were supposed to begin the tour in Philly, but who knows.

Do any of you know if the statues are going to tour?

Yes, the statues are touring selected cities. Here's a link I found online with the schedule. There are also links to see which statues will be at each city (they aren't all going to each city). They are coming to Atlanta, and I can't wait to go see them! :)

thanks for the post for this website my aunt who lives in Chicago didn't know where they were going to be

They don't seem to be updating the website. Here is the reponse I received when I email Disney. (though I think the person was a little out of it since it is marked Mickey 70 - maybe you can go back in time afterall)

I'm excited about the addition of the DC stop where it appears to have all the statues not just 15

Enjoy.

Maybe they refer to them as the "Mickey 70" because a number of them have been pulled for one reason or another (i.e. the janet jackson one).
Interesting Side note: When they were in WDW at one point there were only 65 of them out because they were getting pulled due to damage.

How sad...I did see people go under the ropes and pose with them (rumor was the ropes were just to ruin your pictures;) )
