Anyone Know the Details of the Military Savings?

Got an email from DVC that prompted me to click on the link and I saw:
Savings for US Military Personnel and Cast Members
To say “thank you” for all that you do, Disney Vacation Club is offering additional savings on Add-On purchases for select groups.

I know that DVC is currently offering some savings on direct purchases, so I was wondering if those savings would combine with the military savings (and, of course, I have no clue as to what the actual military savings are.)

We got this last year before my husband separated from Active Duty. We were able to combine the additional military savings with the current (at the time) direct incentives. The military incentive varied by the amount of points purchased. We purchased 300 points (Riviera direct) and at the time it was an additional $950 incentive credit.

Your best bet is to check with your/a guide to confirm what the current offer is.

Thank you IceSkatingPrincess. My original guide retired and a new one was assigned but I have never communicated with him. Frankly, I find that the direct prices are way too high compared with resale, but I was interested in knowing if the current prices with the promos came closer.

Not at all. It's like a 5% discount or something super low.

When I asked a few years ago, the military discount doesn’t apply for smaller contracts. I think, at the time, we needed to buy at least 150 points to get the military discount and it was a small percentage.
