Could you please give us more details and post a few pics? I don't think it's against the board policy, since you're just giving your experience and opinion. Besides that, it may help others on here who are considering something like that. If you're not comfortable w/ it, I can PM you though. Now I'm curious.

So here are the PROS 
:
~$180.00 a week, cheapest hotel rate we could find including all the taxes was about $70.00 ish a night. Owner said they would consider daily rates if staying less than a week. There was a refundable deposit of $150.00, plus a non-refundable $20.00 utilities fee (gas & water).
~Bathroom had hot water, working toilet, wireless internet access (most of the time), large closet, portable fan, working color TV.
~The surrounding area is very commercial, large shopping center located right across the street, with neighboring shopping centers as far as the eye could see. Everything from Albertsons, Ralphs, CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, Kmart, Big Lots, Pet store, literally all the big fast food places as well as other eateries, gas stations.
~
Disneyland is very easy to get to, no need to take the freeway. I would say about 8-10 minutes away, ending up at the corner of Ball Rd. and Harbor Blvd.
Now for the CONS 
:
~No parking. That is, no onsite parking. No parking in front on the main street due to heavy traffic, backside of house has an alley, so only option is street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. You will see 2 cars in my photos, both belong to residents.
~Bathroom door does not close. It's a door that slides out from the wall, but its jammed and doesn't slide out well, curtain was placed for privacy.
~Door to room does not lock. The door is a sliding glass door,
"locks from the inside" but does not lock from the outside so you really aren't able to leave any valuables. We wouldn't leave anything in the room, we had to load and unload everything into our car everyday & night.
~The photos where the 2 cars are pictured, that's the main access / entrance to the room. You do not need to enter through the house, you can enter through the alley and through an open air car port. However, there is an iron gate which gets closed at night (and most of the day). Which means if you plan to arrive late, you'll need to phone the owner to be let in. We were staying at Disney till closing - Midnight, and wouldn't get home till about 1:00 am. We warned the lady we'd be coming home late, said she was cool with it, though most nights she would be asleep and wouldn't answer the phone right away - or at all, on at least 2 occasions we had to knock on the door.
~The owner has divided the property into several units, and rents the units to single tenants on a monthly basis. I believe there were currently 3 tentants living on the property. We met two and they seemed nice, but they're still strangers, and having us Disneylanders coming in and out at odd hours is an inconvenience to them - though they didn't complain. The "weekly room" was a new thing the owner was trying out. The owner is a single mother with adolescent kids who earns a living from the rentals. Lets just say I don't believe permits were involved when her property was divided into units. The City stopped by at least 2 times while we were there to investigate things, which was the main reason why the iron gate was always closed.
~Lots of clutter in the car port, mostly junk, pack-rat items. We didn't mind it, but did suggest that maybe the place should be presented a little more neatly for a more successful rental. Did see lots of dead roaches outside, but no issues inside - don't be too disturbed because Disneyland has roaches as well, HUGE ones both in the tram lot and in the park.
Other information:
~ Room is best suited for 2 adults, though 3 average size adults can fit. We were 3, and I got to sleep on a floor mattress for 6 nights
. Room would get very hot and stuffy, the fan helped a bit, leaving the window open helped too. No towels, no soap, no extra toilet paper - * bring sheets, towels, pillows, extra bathroom goods.
~ No phone, no frig, no microwave. Hardwood floors, tile floor in bathroom.
~ We really wouldn't see the other tenants, or the main residents, usually just the home owner. Area seemed quiet, no rowdy neighbors. Owner said its a problem free area.
~ Not that I think this matters, but if anyone is curious, or if it makes a difference, the owner is a Mexican woman, probably in her mid 40's. Speaks english well but occasionally needs help from her daughter. We are Mexican as well and speak spanish so this was not an issue. We pretty much felt like we were in Mexico staying with a relative. I wouldn't exactly classify the place or the owner as 'ghetto', but if you aren't use to an environment such as this, you may feel out of your element. Owner seems very business savvy.

I have a phobia of those things. I did not know they were even at DL!
beds outside of the Casey Jr. ride. I spoke w/ a CM about it, and he said they were supposed to get rid of them. They were everywhere in there. I noticed Decon poison inside there, but that didn't do any good from what I saw.
