I was wondering how to find out the names of answering services that have work at home positions? Anyone know of any? Please message me. thanks.

:sad1:I want to stay clear of the jobs that make you pay money to do the job.. CRAZY.

There are not really answering service jobs out there but there are phone work jobs out there. I have been doing call center work at home for 10 years primarily Liveops, ACD and Arise. There are background checks about $50 for each one of them.

My sister used to do some work on her phone at home for West. They are VERY strict though. She got reprimanded because her neighbor's dog barked and it could be heard on the phone call. You can have NO background noise. I considered doing it but I have a dog that barks at everything and a toddler so my house is never quiet.

NEW corp is currently hiring for work at home customer service reps, not exactly an answering service type of thing but it is working from home and phone/computer based.

They do mostly customer service for DirectTV. I was recently hired but I have decided to put off starting or possibly not take the job at all because of the training schedule. I applied because they are looking for nights and weekends (when DH would be available to watch DD) but the training is all during the day, weekdays

I have been working at home for 8 years now since leaving my career as a teacher to be home with my kids, I have a lot of information on what works and what does not from home, feel free to pm me and I can get you some info.

I was about to start a similar thread, then I noticed this one!

Vickie46: 1800flowers hires work-from-home customer service reps, but only in specific states. Unfortunately, I live in Colorado, and that's not a state they hire in. :sad1: But you can check it out.

Another company is Alpine Access. Heard great reviews on the Disboards about this company. They were hiring awhile back for a training class that started at the end of September, so I missed out on that. DH and I were busy moving cross country! :scared: But next time they hire, I'll be applying!

Isn't Arise the one that does Disney calls? I prefer jobs where I don't have to deal with others, but I would love that one.

OP, my neighbor recently got hired by Teletech @ home doing phone work. I think they are looking for seasonals.

I believe Arise took Disney Dinning calls. I never worked that line. You need to train for each different opportunity assigned I take calls for a major cruise line reservations and also roadside assistance.
