We are planning a two night trip to BG this July and would like a nice/decent place to stay for those two nights. We have not been in over 17 years so we have no idea what is around there now. We will get two rooms since our kids are 20, 17 and 12. If anyone has any suggestion please reply. THANKS :goodvibes

We just stayed at Homewood Suites. It was a nice hotel and a fairly nice location. We stayed in a one bedroom with 2 queen beds that had a livingroom and kitchenette area. I think they may have 2 bedroom options.

We stayed at Comfort Suites last summer. It was brand new. It was only about 5 minutes or so away from Busch Gardens.

We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg. It was just a few miles from Busch Gardens.

We want to try this...but not when we plan to do the park. It seems a waste to not just stay at the resort the entire time since it has the water park and all.

Oh cool thanks :)

We would go twice a year...so in the last 4-5 years,

We stayed at the comfort inn historic on bypass road (nice and clean, indoor pool), howard Johnson's(for some reason I'm not remembering the room...so that might not be a good thing) , Crowne Plaza (we got the room CHEAP.... it was a little creepy... cracked bathroom tiles all over.... dead bugs all over the outside balcony and around the sliding door....and the indoor pool was NOT usable for us....the chlorine was so strong you counldn't breathe BEFORE you even got into the room), and one place that I can't remember....but it was like $30 a night (off season) and while the room was clean...it was very, very outdated. I think it was a motel 6 near Pottery.

but our favorite was

We got a GREAT deal on orbitz... and it's less than 2 miles from the park. The staff was great there....the rooms nice and clean. the breakfast was pretty good for being continental
We even stayed at a Country Inn in Hershey later in the summer and had a great experience there too

The Kingsmill Resort is convenient to Busch Gardens and is very nice. Lots to do including, golf, tennis, racquetball, pools, spa, restaurants, etc. I can highly recommend.

If you are just looking for a good clean Budget hotel, I have used Hotwire for 2 trips in the past year to Williamsburg. I paid for 2.5 star hotels with continental breakfast and pool- i think around $70/night both times. There are message boards for Hotwire, where if you have the amenities and the price, you can figure out which hotels you might be getting. The first time we got the Holiday Inn Express, and the second time we got La Quinta. I liked the HI Express better, but the La Quinta was fine, with the exception of having elevator issues when we were there.

We've stayed at GWL several times and the best rates I've gotten are in the middle of January on a weekday, and even then it is more than 2X that price. We do GWL when we are ONLY doing GWL.

We haven't booked yet for July but will be watching for deals. We spend VERY little time in the room.

Look at the hotels/motels affiliated with Williamsburg..we stayed at the budge one..think they have 3 it was reasonably priced - included breakfast - FREE shuttle to the parks...Nice pool!

We are thinking of trying GWL in Jan. 2011...when the kids get a few says off towards the end of Jan. I was wondering if it would cost more then....because it is an indoor park and in the winter they might raise the prices compared to the summer when most people want to be outside at pools/water parks.

Every year, I priceline the 3.5 star resort (or Hotwire 3 star) and get the Crowne Plaza. I like it there. I paid 62$ on Hotwire for the 4 of us for this month. In the summer, it runs me around 85$.

We've stayed here also and liked it. The couch in the living area also made out into a bed.

We stayed at a Springhill Suites with three older sons and only got one room. It had two queens in the bedroom and a pullout in the living area. Nice breakfast, too.

Hampton Inn on Richmond Road. Near lots of food choices, Yankee Candle outlet about a block away, clean, small indoor pool, decent breakfast, less than 10 minutes to the park. We stayed there two years in a row.

Anyone stay in the Hampton Inn on Bypass Road. It only has a few reviews, but they are good.

We could stay at the Country Inn on Pocohontass Road that someone recommended for about $90 less--not sure if it is too far away.
