Dh and my MIL loved the mint julep (I thought it tasted like watery scope). Anyone know a place to buy the mint syrup? MIL heard they sold (and possibly sell) it at DL, but we didn't know to look while we were there.

It's actually called Creme de Menthe syrup. It is available at liquor stores, as well as online. (Just don't purchase Creme de Menthe liqueur or you will get an added treat!) :upsidedow

Here is a recipe from a Disneyland Recipes site:

New Orleans Square Mint Julep Recipe

This recipe comes from various sources.

Yield: Approximately 2/3 gallon
Ingredients

1 cup Sugar
3 tsp. Lime Juice Concentrate
3 cups Soda Water
6 tbsp. Creme DeMenthe syrup (hard to find, but this is important)
6 oz. thawed Lemonade Concentrate

Directions

Dissolve sugar into soda water. Add lime juice and lemonade and bring to boil. Remove from heat and add Creme DeMenthe. Chill. To serve, combine 3 parts syrup to 5 parts water.

Monin is the best brand you can buy for any of the syrup flavors you need.

I keep a stash of them by my coffee maker. They also make a killer Rose syrup and a Passionfruit one. I've tried over 20 of their varieties and have not been disappointed in any of them. You can use them for flavoring club soda, tea, candy (I use them in homemade Marshmallows), over ice cream, and other treats.
