Anyone know if there is valid and solid travel Covid medical insurance for USA cruises right now with current Canadian travel advisory??

We are supposed to cruise Jan 2-8 as well as flying to and from Orlando. With today’s announcement of travel advisories going anywhere out of Canada, I am hoping to see if anyone here understands the implications for insurance? Thanks.

You would have to read their policy and probably contact the company [same for any other coverage you would purchase now] to see if you are happy with the coverage it provides.

In certain provinces Blue cross emergency medical coverage covers advisories - we have that coverage. It’s under their FAQ page

Check out Goose Insurance. It’s an app you can get coverage in a couple minutes, literally! They’re in Canada and the US. COVID policies and coverage for cancellation or interruption. Coverage still under the advisory too.

Unfortunately, doesn't cover cruising...with the advisories against travel . We have Blue cross extended travel health through work (AB govt employees) and it's not valid because we are going on a cruise unless advisory's are lifted re: cruising it will be null and void and we will have to look into other insurance... currently a policy for the 4 of us through manulife (4 adults) will be $1,500 and another $271 for covid coverage/quarantine policy!

The Ontario Blue Cross travel medical plan does specifically say they cover cruising. It’s so bizarre that the inclusions are so different from province to province.

Sorry to hear.
We have it covering cruises and advisories with our Ontario Blue Cross Policy. I realize Albertans don’t have it available there sorry to hear

We have booked with Blue Cross (regular travel insurance, not through work) and they have told us that medical expenses was covered, even though we are going on a cruise. Cost us 35$/pp.
