anyone know if i can add my SW rapid rewards # to my DD ticket?

I am not able to find the answer online, but in the past i just didn't add any rewards # to our DD ticket. I would like to be able to accumulate points for her ticket as well. I don't want to open her up an account not even sure i can. I tried to do it online but it kept giving me an error message. If i call will they add my # to hers?

You can only accumulate points on tickets with your name. Your daughter would have to have her own account.

You can open an account for her and have her accumulate the points in her own name, and you can add the existing reservation to a new RR account either by calling ahead of time, or by asking the GA to do it at the airport.

FYI - This rule is the same for all airlines. FF points go to the person who actually took the trip. You can usually transfer miles (limited to a certain amount a year and you need to pay a fee) between accounts.

The PP are correct. You can only earn RR points on your own flights. But you can use your RR points to book free flights for other people. I often only have enough points to book one free flight. I make sure I use the points to book my DD's flight and then pay for my own flight so I get those points.
