Anyone know how to run a backwash on a well system?

I'm googling and not finding any information that I can understand.

Does yours have 1 or 2 treatment tanks and then a salt tank to remove the treatment chemicals? If that is the case on teh tank closest to teh salt there should be a turn knob on top that says In Service. If you turn that clockwise it will hit backwash i believe on the second thing and the water should start running to regenerate the system. Thats what I have to do here if I forget to refill the salt in time. Good luck. Hope that helps.
