Anyone know how to become an Imagineer?

I didn't see any thread like this so far, but how does one actually become an Imagineer? I've got an Aerospace Engineering MS and I'm working on a PhD in structures now. I absolutely love problem solving, things mechanical and all things Disney.

After watching several Travel Channel shows on how Imagineers create and reading the Imagineer book, I really believe that working for Disney as an Imagineer would be the absolute dream job.

Is anyone on the boards an Imagineer with some advice? Do I just show up to casting with a resume' and a smile? Or do I just have to know someone on the inside?

Sounds like you are off to a great start! You should probably check out the Disney Careers website to get ideas and see what kind of jobs are available. I'm not sure what the web address is, but if you do a Google search you should be able to find it. Good luck!
