I love Quicken!!! I've used it since 1997 and couldn't live without it. It is such a great way to keep all of your finances organized. I use it for everything we have...checking, savings, credit cards, 401Kplans, etc.
When it comes to reconsiling a statement...it's a breeze. You just need to keep up with all of your entries. It can quickly print reports for all of your spending. You will be shocked over time how much you spend on certain things.
You can also download all of your information to quicken online so you don't loose your information, but I don't use that feature, I simply do a back-up to a CD. The program will also allow you to print checks but I don't use that either. Like another poster stated....there are so many features available, but I don't use them all.
You mentioned a budget....there are various ways to not only create a budget, but keep track of one on quicken. It is NOT difficult at all to use.
