anyone know how long to drive from jacksonville to disney's HH

if I fly in from philly to jacksonville how far a drive to disney's hilton head do you know if they let you drive out a state with a rental and which ones are on site at jacksonville airport thanks

It's about 170 miles from Jacksonville to Hilton Head. Mapquest says 2.5 hours.

If you are specifically looking for an airport near Hilton Head....Savannah, Georgia (SAV) is about 45-50 minutes away.

We are planning on doing this as well.. We checked flights into SAV, and boy, they were nuts.. anywhere from 500-900 RT..
So, we are waiting and booking on Southwest, into Jacksonville , renting a car and driving to HHI. Mapquest said about 2.5 hrs. Which to save a few hundred or so is definately worth it IMO!

This is so funny........I just checked the very same thing (PHL/JAX) this morning for future reference........

Be careful, not all rental cars will allow you to take it into another state, and some still ahve milage restrictions.

In reality it's actually going to be closer to 2 hours and 45 minutes to get from JAX to Hilton Head, but it's an easy and pleasant drive.

Hilton Head has it's own airport, it's small but on the island. Also Savannah is only 45 min. Driving from Jacksonville is approx 3hours. We used to live on the island and my wife had to travel often for work to Jacksonville by car, so the times i listed are very accurate.
