We leave for WDW in a little over 2 weeks :cool1:. I bought our airfare back in early March, as soon as I saw it was released I think.

Over the course of the last several months our airfare has gone down twice and I now have $104 credit I can use for our trip next year but I must use it by our original booking date. They tell me on the phone March 1 but I think the actual date was March 8.

Anyway, we don't leave NEXT September until the 23rd. Does anyone know/think dates for that late will be released by March 1ish? If not will AirTran give me a small extension to use my credit? I'm willing to buy tix as soon as their released for our travel dates. :yay:

I REALLY don't want to lose the credit!

Hmm...don't know what I have been doing wrong but no dates in April are posted for me on Airtran!:confused3

My error.

April is listed there, but yes, no dates. March has dates, so I guess 8 months? Sept is 7 months from March, so you should be okay.

I am a little confused by your $104 credit. I usually fly AirTran when travelling to Orlando approximately 3-4 times/year and never knew you could get a credit if the airfare goes down once you have purchased your ticket. I know you can change for a $75 change fee. How does this work? I am curious. TIA!

If you call and very politely ask for a credit for the difference in price, Airtran will give it to you in your account to use by the anniversary of when you first booked the ticket. They do NOT charge a $75 change fee to give you the credit.

This is as long as you don't change flights.

March is only out through the 11th. I am patiently waiting for 3/25 to be released.

If they give you this credit, can you use it for your checked bag fees or do you have to use the credits for another flight? Thanks! :)

Correct, this is for the same flight at a cheaper rate. BUT, if times of your flight change by even a few minutes, Airtran will also let you change to a different flight for no charge.

It's in your Airtran account so I assume you could use it for checked bag fees but I don't know that for sure.

You can't. It can only be used for a new booking. I didn't ask if I could use it for seat booking though b/c I had already paid for that.

I know for sure that you CAN use it to pay for your seats because I have done that many times.
