Asking for a friend who's looking to possibly sell a vintage set of Snow White and the 7 Dwarves figurines. Not looking to sell them on this board, just in general.

They are more than 30 years old, made of porcelain from what we can find. The bottoms are stamped Malaysia Disney. All but one still have the original name stickers on them. In excellent condition, no chips or cracks. The dwarves are all about 3" long and Snow White is a touch over 5".

They were her mothers and have been wrapped and stored for many years . We can find some info, but the prices range from $300 to $3000 so she's totally confused as to how to find out what they're actually worth.

Thanks in advance for any information anyone can provide.

Those look very similar to some I had when I was a kid.

And now I feel old because you called me vintage lol.

I'm curious though. We have several of those types of figurines at home. Perhaps we should sell them.

I'm vintage too, I didn't mean to offend you, lol!

There are a few Disneyana pricing guides out there... perhaps she/you could find one at a library to look at?

That's a good idea, I'll suggest it to her. She lives in CO and I'm sure that the library's there are much larger than ours. Thank you

I looked on eBay and that exact set from Malaysia is selling for $69.95, or best offer. VintageVibes69 is the seller if you want to check it out. eBay is a pretty good indicator of what something is worth.

Probably only a Disney expert can provide a value by actually looking at them. If they made a large number of these sets, seems the price would be lower unless there were any special/limited editions which can tend to drive up the price. Even when some 'expert' provides you a value, you still need to actually find a BUYER willing to pay that price. Those providing appraisals are probably not going to actually offer to buy it from you and if they did I would be sure to get a second opinion so you aren't giving away something that is actually much more valuable.

If the set is still in production, doubt there would be much of a collectable premium associated with it.
