ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PIN's ???

hi, we have our next vacation booked for Dec 13- 20, 08. It has been booked for awhile and the other dy my hubby was playing around on the disney site to see if the rates had dropped. Next thing we know he got a PIN in an email?

Will we be able to use this towards our booked vacation? I have seen discussions on PINs on here before but not lately. Anyone have any ideas??

Call WDW and give them the pin number and then say hello to discount!!!

You may want to post this question on the Codes and Rates board under the Disney Resorts message board. They have tons of advice on pins and stuff like that. That being said, what are the stipulations on your pin that you got in the email? Are there certain dates only or is it free dining or what??

It will all depend on what deal you had when you originally booked as to whether the pin code will be more or less discount...let me know and we can try and figure it out.

We didn't get any deal on or booked package for dec. We have 7 day park passes, staying at poly and delux dining package. I just phoned them and we booked through an agent so they said she would have to call on our behalf. That might be where they get me

What is this free dining?? Is it just the basic plan?

The Free Dining pin that is going around will give you the Free dining package of 1 table ser, 1 coun. serv and 1 snack per night per person on your trip for FREE! And if you are doing the deluxe, you can use this deal and upgrade to the Deluxe and only have to pay the price of the difference between the regular and deluxe dining options. We did this when we went for FD in Sept and it was WELLLLLL worth the $$$! We had 3 sit downs and 2 snacks per night of the trip for our family and we only paid around $30.00 per night for adults and 10.00 for children for dining!!! HELLO!!! Cha ching!!

Anyways, your email should tell you details about the pin offer. Does it not say anything about rates or something?? And does it not give dates it must be used within?

I would call my TA right now and ask them to put the code in and see what happens! If you are paying rack rate for the room and for the dining, you will definitely get some $$ back if the trip is within the dates the Pin is good for!! Keep us posted and good luck!!

Okay after several phone calls.....

The email with the PIN was from Disney but when we called they said it didn't show on the computer. whatever.

My TA called and she had no luck either. However they did tell her that we qualify for a "fall sale" promotion. It worked out to be about 10% saving which on our December trip was just over $1000 !!!!!!!!!

Awesome, I knew there was a reason we love Disney so much

I would call back in a few days about that pin and just make sure it isn't showing on your husband's name on the records.
