I am being offered the following to buy, but do not find anything about it on any Disney site. Can you tell me IF there is such a thing?

Description: This wonderful Disney collectable is set #1251 of only 5000 sets produced. This limited edition collectable contains seven, 1-oz silver Disney medallions and a beautifully illustrated companion book. There is a silver medallion with a corresponding section in the book for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, and Alice In Wonderland.

This set includes all items pictured below including the Certificate of Authenticity (#1251/5000) and the original box. Volume #1 was produced in 1992 and retailed at $495. This set is in top notch, mint condition.

have been produced around the world from different manufacturers under disney's licence .. just to put the real value into perspective one ounce of silver has a value of estim. 6,70 USD add some bucks for the artwork and packaging and you have the real value of the set...
45 USD is the value of the material and 450 USD is the manufacturers margin .... These sets have no collectors value ... there is no market for them, either ...
