Hi capt jack,
I had the same problem for over a week. Finally I contacted AOL. They walked me through the steps to take care of this. By the way, Verizon enables me to get on line.
First, AOL had me go to internet explorer, click on tools, click on internet options, click on general tab, then delete cookies, then delete files, and then click ok. This did not take care of the problem.
So then they had me clear the web browser and uninstall AOL adapter by:
1 signing off and closing aol
2 on end of windows taskbar, click aol icon, then click system info
3 click utilities tab
4 clear browser cache button current cache size reaches 0 KB, then click
the uninstall aol adapter
5 click ok
6 close
7 restart computer and launch aol. aol will automatically rebuild itself.
I don't know if you have aol or not, but if you do, maybe this would help. Or you might contact your provider or windows to see what they say. Good luck
BTW, this worked!!!
