Anyone just returning from WDW that visited the water parks?

Just wondering when the weather is about 70-74 if the water parks have many people visiting. We leave in 3 days and I have BB on our agenda. I see the weather is hovering aroung the 70 mark and just wondering that if anyone just got home and went to the water parks let me know if it was too cold or if it was bearable. Thanks...

We were there two days ago, 75 was the high, still quite a few folks at Typhoon Lagoon. We wear shortie wet suits, gotta get full advantage of the PAP.

My dad and I were there last Friday (Dec 5) and the temp was around 70. We had zero issues with people at Typhoon Lagoon, most things we walked right on or had a 2 min wait. We were also lucky that it was overcast which kept quite a few people away. We just wore our swimsuits and had no issues of being cold, but we just left Massachussetts 2 days before so for us it was warm.

..Anyone know where you can buy (or rent?) shortie wetsuits around the wdw area? ( & $ cost?)

When you arrive, check the local phone book for the closest Dive Shop, they rent & sell both shorties & full length suits for a few dollars. I would not buy one unless you plan to get more use out of it than just the water park at Disney.

We spent 4 days in Typhoon Lagoon last week (BB was closed for refurbishment). The temps ranged from low to upper 70's, but with the humdity and brilliant sunshine usually felt like around 80 degrees. The crowds were very light and there was not a wait for anything on any of the days.

The only down sides were: 1. when not in direct sunshine, it was a bit cool, 2. despite what posted signs at the parks said, the water did not seem heated to us-- was too cool for prolonged swimming (or sliding or floating) for us.

I was at TL on Nov. 20 in afternoon and it was only about 75 degrees that day. The wave pool felt good to swim in and I wouldn't have considered that cold. However the raft ride that goes fully around the park was not heated and was cold. I rafted one full time but at the end of the day, the water was too cold for me so I walked the full way back to the front. The slides had no waits whatsoever.
