Anyone Interested in a DISneyland Resort Chat?

Hi all,

The DIS has a new chat room that will have moderated chats. We have an opportunity to open up a Disneyland Chat.

If we do this, would Friday night work for most of you?

It probably would be open 1 hour, and we either have weekly open chat, or could have a weekly schedule something like:
week 1 - open chat - all things Disneyland
week 2 - parks/attractions
week 3 - restaurants/hotels
week 4 - upcoming meets
week 5 - open chat - DLR & Southern California

What do you guys think?

I voted Saturday or Sunday, but Friday would work as well. Sounds like fun!

I voted for Friday night. It would be easier for me to pin down one night. What time would it be? I like the idea of an open chat.

I'm down for chatting. My schedule is always crazy so I never know what days I am free. But Friday is probably the best.

The other chats are open from 9pm-10pm Eastern -- that is a little too early for me (6-7pm Pacific).

I was thinking 8-9pm Pacific time - that would be 11-midnight eastern. Maybe we could do 7-8, which would be 10-11pm eastern.

Hi - Friday night would be great for a lot of us in Australia & perhaps NZ. That way, for example

8pm chat PST (LA) time is

1pm Sydney time on the Saturday morning.
12.30 Adelaide
11am Perth
3pm Auckland.

And we wouldn't have to worry about the boss catching us!

I'm CST. For me the 7-8 would work pretty well.

exactly whats the idea/point to this???? with a forum like we have what does this chat serve????

Chat gives us an opportunity to "talk" to each other live. There is more back and forth conversation, and some of the benefits are:
1) Sharing of information and ideas / brainstorming
2) Opportunity to chime in with thoughts where someone might not create a whole post to share them
3) Get to know the people who post on the forum
4) It's a fun thing to do

I haven't gone to the webmasters yet to ask about chat. There were issues last week, and I'm waiting for them to iron them out before going down that road, but it does look like we have enough people interested to get started at least, and so I'll be talking to them and my fellow mods.

They're still having some issues with chat. once they get it going then I'll post more details. It looks like it's going to be on Friday nights, though, from 7-8pm (moderated chat). We can then see if we need more time or not.
