Anyone in Eastern Indiana/SW Ohio able to tell me what big event is happening this weekend?

I need to do a road trip through the area and find somewhere to stay overnight on Saturday, and the hotel prices I am seeing are absolutely insane for the area, well over $300 for chain motels. I figure that there must be some kind of major event filling a lot of hotel rooms. Can anyone tell me what huge visitor draw might be happening July 12-14 and where exactly, so I can try to plan my travel to avoid it?

Cinci has some home games this weekend - the Reds and FC Cincinnati (soccer). There's also the Guiness Cincinnati Celtic Festival. Kings Island is open and in full swing as well.

Can you try outside the area a little?

Yes, I can; I was trying to guess which direction was best to try. My destination is Oxford, though I only need to be there for a couple of hours late Sunday morning before turning around for home. Normally we would stay somewhere in the NW outer-belt area near Cincinnati, but I think we may have to overnight in Indianapolis this time. Lodging in Oxford itself is just as jacked as Cincinnati.

Looks like I'm sentenced to some back-roads time on the north-side approach from I-70 (those cornfields are scary-tall this time of year.)

Thanks.

If you want to stay closer, maybe look at Richmond, IN if you'd rather drive mostly I-70, or Shelbyville, IN if you don't mind smaller highways. (I love cornfields, myself!)
