Anyone hire their own violinist?

I've been searching for a violinist. I've seen them anywhere from $175-500. I haven't chosen one yet, so I'm interested to see who others picked!

Just be aware, there might be restrictions because you are hiring outside of Disney.

Just a heads up

Wow, I wish my college roommate still lived in Orlando! She was a violin performance major, she is AMAZING, and is now getting her doctorate.

If you're looking for budget, contact UCF School of Music and see if anyone there would like to play. Professors maybe, but probably college kids looking to make some money!

That's a really good idea! :thumbsup2 My college roommate was also an amazing violinist and played at weddings on the weekends.

We just used the one provided by Disney. It was a guy, but sorry, I can't remember his name. He was GREAT ! My MOH is in the St. Louis Symphony and during the reception he was taking requests...first serious ones, but then the kids got involved and were requesting show tunes, etc... There was not ONE song he didn't know, and play beautifully from formal orchestra to show tunes. I have seen him in many other brides' photos, so I know he does a lot of the weddings. Seriously though, I would just let Disney handle it...one less thing to mess with.
