Anyone here with kids in Odyssey of the Mind?

My 5yo DS participated today in the primary category for our state's competition and it was a blast. He's still coming down off of the high I think, and has said more than one time how much he want to do it again next year. What made it even cooler for me was that I participated when I was in late elementary, and seeing the whole thing from a different perspective was amazing. More than one time today, I had flashbacks to my childhood of memories that I had forgotten. What a great experience

Congrats to all of you who have kiddos who participated or wil be particpating in their tournaments. While it is a competative thing, the values the kids take away are so much more than winning the competition!

I did OM for 3 years in elementary school. The first year we were in 2nd grade, so weren't eligible to go to States, but the other 2, we got 2nd in Regionals and made it to States. Our team was so much fun!

I am so glad your son had fun! OM is a great experience and I learned alot from it. There is another thread with a bunch of OM parents here.
