Someone asked on another board about the bricks at MK and plaques at Epcot. It made me wonder if any of the regulars here have a brick of their own.

We do. Ours is located right outside the turnstiles as you approach the first ramp to the monorail. We bought it in 1994.

I wish they would do something like this again. Our brick is now 17 years old and who knows how much longer it will last. Also, we got it before our daughter was born so it would be nice to get something will all of our names on it.

I bought a brick for my family at Disneyland. I'm giving each family a replica brick for Christmas. I've seen it and shared it with the two siblings who live there, but can't wait to share it with my parents and other sibling!

we have a leave a legacy plaque at epcot - it was part of our disney cruise land/sea package...

we didn't know it was part of the package until we arrived at WDW....

we had the kids pose for the picture together - it's really cute....from about 10 years ago....
we have a very easy to find location - the very front row...

we love stopping by for a look whenever we're at epcot...

their spouses got a real kick seeing it this year on our big trip - all of us together, two months ago...

We don't have any at WDW (too far), but the kids and I have two bricks at Disneyland, one from 2000 (near the center 'star' in the Esplanade) and one from this year (near the entrance gates to DL Park). :)

I bought ours this year on the last day of sales and ours is also near the DL entrance gates, just to the right of the center. My mom has been going to Disneyland since it opened, so I put her family name on the brick, too. I hope she likes it! I know my nieces will love it!

Yes, we purchased a brick at Magic Kingdom the first year they offered them. What's fun is that is lists all our names, now with the kids grown and gone, it's fun to go look at the brick...brings back many fond memories.

We also have a legacy plaque at Epcot, unlike many here DH and I find the 'monoliths' attractive.

Val & I have a brick that is over near the Poly luau cove. Haven't visited it in a couple of years though. I'm not even sure I have the number any more.

Our family has one on the pathway from Poly to the TTC! It's easy to find as it was installed in the opposite direction of all the others. We usually try and visit it on our trips but ran out of time the last time. We purchased it a few years ago when the brick thing came back.

One thing we love about our brick is the location right at the main gate. We never miss visiting it since it is in a prominent location. Of course, that also means it gets walked on by millions of people and has worn down more than some that are off the main path.

me too!
i doubt i would have bought a plaque on my own, but since it was part of the package, we did it....now i'm very glad we have it..
we really enjoy seeing it and knowing it's there...

Are their any plans to do something like this again at any of the parks? How much did those cost?

We don't have a brick, but I saw a guy looking for his brick with a CM helping him the other night. Unfortunately he picked park close (about 9:20ish) at MK to go on the hunt in the area where the crowd splits between trying to get on the boat to TTC or to the resort buses. Guy almost got trampled.

We bought ours shortly after our honeymoon in Oct. 1994 and it's also located on the walkway between the Poly and TTC.... I remember it cost $125 back then :)

I wish we would have bought one of these, but we never did.

Maybe with the next park.........................

we love the location of our brick too, it's near the entrance and right next to a little tree so it's easy to find and because the tree is close our brick gets very little wear. Love that it looks almost new.

We actually have 2 bricks at WDW. One is right by the main gate. The other one was a gift to us from our kids. It's by TTC. We have seen it.....buy the last few years we haven't been able to find it. I think it might be under one of the structures !!
We always visit our brick in from of the MK though. It makes me feel like a part of us is always at WDW

When you paid for the brick, did they tell you where it would be placed? I'm wondering how anyone could find their brick if you weren't given a general location?

I don't have a brick but love looking for bricks of folks who live near me!

I really don't like those "monoliths" in Epcot but who asked me? LOL.

Each brick has a number that indicates where it is placed. You didn't have a choice when you bought the brick since they were selling only the current section (as I recall) that was being paved.
