Anyone heard of Express Yourself Check In

DH and I are taking our first "KIDFREE" vacation May 1-5. We are Loews Platinum members and have a King Suite booked at the HRH. I got a phone call from Robert DeLuca at HRH Rooms Division saying that they have a new program for Platinum members. I can preregister and if the registration line is long, I can go to the bell desk or concierge desk and they can go get my key. He said he could fax or email me the request form, so I gave him my email address. The email I got has an attachment with the request form, which DH is a computer programmer and always tells me not to open ANY attachments in case they contain a virus. Also, his generic looking email says that I need to fax or email him a copy of a photo ID and copy of my form of payment, ie. my credit card info. I don't like the thought of faxing anyone my personal info, especially when I got the call from them. Just wondering if anyone else has heard about this.

I have not heard of this. I am a platinum member also, and we are staying in a king suite at RPR this weekend.

I personally would beware. I'm sure it is all on the up and up, and it sounds like a great perk, but you can never be too sure. Did he leave a number where he can be reached? I would call HRH and ask if anyone knows of this person. I know Lou Carrier is the General manager of the HRH and I'm sure he would know. He has always been very helpful for me.

Also, my husband tells me the same thing about opening attachments, so I just ask him if it is ok. The one time I open something without checking first, I'm sure it will be a virus!

Let us know what you find out and have a great time. Our trip this weekend is adults only too! I know we will miss the HRH - it is our favorite. But, I wanted to make this trip somewhat economical.

Robert was just recently promoted from the front desk to Loew's First manager. HRH just recently created this new position and this new "Express Yourself Check-in" was Robert's idea. I will be at HRH May 3-5 and I got a call last night from Robert. It seems like a good idea but we will just see how efficient it is when I get there. He also upgraded me to a king suite over the phone. I was thrilled because I am paying a FLO rate of $159. Anyway, You have nothing to worry about.

Bringing this thread up from the dungeons ... is Robert still there? Is this program still in effect? A King Suite at the HRH is available for a platinum upgrade for our stay early May, and we are still on the fence as to where to stay. Any other input into platinum perks at the HRH? I swear, I don't know why we are stressing so much over where to stay. I'm sure people would kill to have this stupid problem!

The program is still in effect. Were platinum, going in Feb (have king suite). The person who e-mailed me with the express check in this time is Mike Bodine. Robert was the one we dealt with last year.

The only perk beside the room for Platinum memebers is the welcome amenity.

The room is great (I think they are all pool view), but the bathroom is small, especially when compared to those at PBH. No tub just a shower, but hey your hopefully not spending a great deal of time in the bathroom.
