I had a really good laugh this morning listening to Regis explain ME and say that you get on the bus at the airport and your luggage would 'magically' BEAT you to the resort !!! Now that's funny !! :rotfl:
Oh boy, are they going to have a lot of disappointed people if that's what they are expecting - people have been reporting waiting 4 - 6 hours for their luggage to reach their rooms - better put your swim suits and a change of clothes in your carry-on ! :smooth:

He also said you can get into a car or whatever and make your way to resort. I don't think he "gets it"!!

I was watching and thinking that there is no way your luggage would "beat" you to your resort! Even if the system were not flawed, there would still be no way!

Yes, and all I thought as he mentioned his "personal guide" and Kelly talks of her "personal guide" ITs good to be Regis or Kelly!! :rotfl:

:rotfl: I know this is a promotion for WDW, come on, I wasnt born yesterday!! Reality is here on the Dis, real people, real experiences, no kick backs!! :rotfl2:

But whoa unto thou that doesnt do the homework :rotfl2: Disney is filling up rooms with all this "free publicity" and word of mouth is out that ME isnt what its promoted to be, mention here and there, and bam... mind you the latest reports out are there are more CM at the airports, so I believe they are trying, for now anyway, I'll check it out in a month or two, thanks to the 'real people' here!!

I will say when I first went to WDW I was wondering how to get from the airport to the world... and I remember talking to the CM, and they promoted Mears, it sounded good, but I got on the dis later....

I had to laugh when I saw that, too. Also he made it sound like you could do this at any hotel as long as you were going to visit WDW.

1) I also laughed when I heard about his statement.
2) Unfortunately, Regis doesn't get a lot of things.
3) I don't think he ever has.

::yes::

(And not to hijack the thread, but it is good to "see" you RustyScupper! I was on a board many, many moons ago with you and your early edition of the character spreadsheet!)

I was screaming at the tv this am, did anyone else notice the picture of Regis on TOT w/ his "guide" and some woman? They got the whole ride to themselves. Then Kelly started talking about her and the kids just staying on Peter Pan forever  Its really nice to be them. I've been saying for months now, they give way too much info for their glamor lives considering its mostly 'stay at home moms' and retired people who watch their show. Most of us can't afford the luxuries that they brag about. Sorry if I got off topic.

As far as Regis goes we all know he has trouble getting places,so for Gellman's sanity I have no trouble with them providing him his personal guide. As for ME, of course his luggage got there with no trouble. If his precious luggage didn't arrive before he did he would complain about it ad nuseum!(SP?)

I have heard of the regular ME,the one for those of us who actually pay for our vacations, and have heard really bad reviews. It is still early yet,I am sure Disney will get the kinks out eventually.

Getting off the subject for a second, Were you guys as disappointed in the show as I was?

I watched Regis this morning and they both referred to their hotel. I may have missed a sentence.....does anyone know which hotel they're staying at?

Just curious!

Thanks.

I laughed quite a bit at his mistake...but like he said when he was correcting the miss he made when he relayed the American Idol phone line problem. He gets these tidbits a few minutes prior and makes mistakes. One would think that they would take more time to fill him in properly with regard to the ME....

They all are staying at AKL this trip.

Regis made me choke on my coffee this morning with his luggage statement. I knew 68,000 of my closest friends would get a great big chuckle out of that!

I love Regis! :love2:

Since we usually go at off peak times we have been lucky enough to ride some of the rides, over and over again. I always ask and if given permission I am nice enough to notice if the lines pick up and get off when I feel I am keeping someone else from enjoying themselves.

I had a grandson who wanted to ride the monorail over and over again when he was little, did not care if he ever went into the park. One of the many perks of having AP's and being a grandparent. LOL

Slightly Goofy

I had a good laugh/snort at Reege's comment about ME. Luckily, I knew he was off base! Hopefully most of the kinks will be worked out before our July trip.

Re: staying on the rides. I think Kelly said that she *wished* she could just stay on the ride, not that she and the kids *had* stayed on the ride. One trip, DD and I were able to stay on for three go-arounds on Goofy's Barnstormer, because there were NO, I repeat, NO lines! It was during a MNSSHP, too. Now, I guess I have proof for DH that I should be treated like a princess, or at least a minor celebrity! :sunny:

Oh, here's another good one . . .

When showing the picture of him, his guide and some lady at theTofT, Regis said, "You know, they give you this picture when you go on the ride". Disney . . . give ? ? ? Yeah right! :rotfl2:

I guess his was given to him, but come on, Regis, figure it out. I can't believe he let us think Disney just gives these pictures to all who ride. Imagine that photo bill! :rolleyes1

We were able to do that also on the Barnstormer! It was during one of our January trips. My kids were thrilled

I can just see the CMs cringing when they hear these things. "But Regis said..." :rotfl:

oops I never heard the "wish" part, I just heard her say if they *couldn't* stay on the kids would be 'making noise' or something to that effect. And by the looks of people, it seems to be crowded to me. Ok, I confess, I wouldn't deny myself that treatment either if it was made available. ;) Now where is the *green* smiley face that shows jealousy? :rolleyes2
