There's a rumor floating around that BTMRR will undergo a rehab in August. For all your insiders, any truth to it?

Yes it will be going down for rehab. A cast member reported it but I can't remember the exact dates.

While there this past week, we rode in a train that had larger sides to the cars. The older trains have no sides to the cars. You just step right in and the flooring of the car is level with the flooring of the loading area. For one of the trains we rose in had, there was an enclosing 10 inches or so of metal that you had to step over. No big deal, but it did seem a little safer (and I wasn't as worried about losing my backpack). Perhaps this is what they're renovating since all the cars did not have this new 'protection.'

So far nothing has been on any sites or anything..

I am wondering if it would be better to do after the Labor Day crowds...

Again, I don't run the show...

In May I rode it and noticed the the loading audio had been changed. It doesn't sound like the same person who says " this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!!"

A cast member told me that it would be down for 8 weeks around Sept. So, starting in Sept? Or ending in Sept? I don't know but I think its true that it will be down.

I'll be going there at the end of October and am so sad that the BTMRR will be closed. Does anyone think it may be opened earlier than Noevember like they said?

several of us have called and no one there is admitting to any rehab. several CM's have said that if it were going under rehab it would be "in the system" by now. i guess we'll just have to see b/c i've heard a lot of conflicting info.

I was at central shops the first week of june on the Back Stage Magic tour and I saw a pile of new smoke stacks ready for painting and one engine cab fully painted.

I allso saw the new cars on a section of evelated track behind the attraction with a group of people looking at it.
