We were there yesterday. The foliage really kicked in this past week. It's just BEAUTIFUL now!!!! :teeth: If you're going, you're in for a treat!

I have not been there in about 10 years! I wish I where going! ;)

You must start a list of trips to take, Kitty. :teeth: I know Disney is first, but add Williamsburg in the fall. :)

P.S. Do let me know when that trip is :teeth: because I live close and would love to see you!

Well....I will be meeting a certain someone in a couple of weeks to go shopping. ;)

Had thought about going up next weekend as they are offering some specials for military, but I'm not sure how that will fit in with soccer. I have noticed a lot of fall colors on this side of the river, a lot more than I saw last year at this time, so I bet it is pretty with all the trees up that way.

LOL! Let's hope it's just as gorgeous then. It was strange this year. Seems like one weekend there were only slight color changes. Then the following weekend there's color all over! Strange. It seemed more gradual last year.

That would be nice if you get a chance to hit Williamsburg. Have fun with soccer though! :)

Hi, Sandy! I was in Charlottesville this week and it was beautiful there too!

We were in Williamsburg last weekend for Busch Garden's Howl O' Scream. We went to colonial Williamsburg for a little while and it was very pretty.

Yes it seems our leaves are peaking this past weekend, it's beautiful right now.

Charlottesville! Did you get to Monticello? :) Haven't been there in a long time. If you want a great resort, try Wintergreen! I'm still dying to go back. My sister and I went there in our single days years ago. I'm sure the foliage was gorgeous!!!

You chose the right weekend to go! :Pinkbounc

We're headed down for another Great Wolf Lodge trip at the end of the month. I'll have to check out the foliage while we're down there.

The trees are finally starting to change here. Once we get out of these ridiculous 75-degree days, it will finally feel like Fall!

Sounds like fun, Annette! Someone at work said we're supposed to get a cold front tonight sending the temps to the 50s. It's been very warm here this week...like summer! Still running the A/C at work. Ha! This IS November, right? I can see it now...we'll be freezing in May. LOL!

Yes - tomorrow's high is supposed to be 60  But then next week, we're back to the 70's again. It's just weird! I'm wearing shorts & a Mickey polo right now. That's just wrong! LOL

You're lucky to live in such a beautiful area! :)

Annette...I saw a mom and two kids out raking leaves in their yard on my way home. I laughed when I saw the little girl dressed in shorts and a tee-shirt! You're right...it's wrong this time of year!

We leave on 11/23 for Chesapeake. Thanksiving in VA. We may get to Williamsburg if we are lucky.

I've never lived anywhere else so I guess I take it for granted most of the time. It is a beautiful area. Did you have a storm there last night? We had a really big storm, lost a lot of the beautiful leaves, definitely going to have to rake this weekend!

I'd like to get down to Williamsburg before Christmas to the Yankee Candle store and to the outlets. Does anyone know if the store has opened yet?

I see you are a HP fan, just some info in case you are interested- they are showing the new movie in I-Max at the VA Air and Space museum in Hampton (just a stones throw from Chesapeake). I'm hoping to get down there to see it!

Someone on another thread said the Yankee Candle store opened 11/2. I don't know for sure. But they'll definitely be open towards the end of the month. I visited their web site but never did see an actual opening date. I don't know if it may have been updated recently.

HP will be at Imax? I might have to drag DS to that. He's not an HP fan, but I'd like to see it. And that theatre is very close by. Yea!

luv2nascar...Have a GREAT time while you're here! :)
