Anyone have trouble with Travelocity.ca?

They had a great seat sale yesterday and I tried to book it. The system allowed me to get through the whole booking system before it "implied" that all the seats were sold out. I said "implied" since it didn't really say it, it just pushed me out onto the beginning of the search. I tried several times and it did the same thing.:sad2:

I have used Travelocity.ca several times before, and if the seat sale in not available, it tells me as soon as I try to book it. It never allowed me to go alll the way to the end. It was just so frustrating...

Anyone else had the same experience?

Yes, I've had that experience every time I've tried to use it. I agree very frustrating. So frustrating that I don't even bother to check there anymore.

Why on earth wouldn't you take 2 minutes to call the 1-800 line? We use Travelocity a lot (and Expedia; pretty much the same type of thing). Their call centre employees are SURPRISINGLY good...and I've never had one that couldn't handle whatever it was that I wanted. Just sayin'...I wouldn't have given up on a great airfare so easily when a simple solution was at hand...:rolleyes1

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I did call the service centre.

Believe me, it didn't help. I called them after 3 tries online (which took me about 10-15 mins before I decided to call) and they went through the whole booking with me (took especially long on each part- so even if it was available, it would have been gone by the time they finished processing it:sad2:).

I spoke to 2 managers who couldn't do anything as well, but apologize for the system. I explained to them that it should immediately stop me before I take the time to put in all that info. It was frustrating. It was even more frustrating speaking with the agent. It took him 45 minutes to enter everything that I did in no more than 5-10 minutes. I understand that they have to re - spell names etc, but I have called Westjet before and it didn't take them that long. As a matter of fact, I remember booking my March flight in less than 15 minutes when I called Westjet and that's even with some chatting.

I think I will do what the previous poster mentioned...stay clear of them.

And I just wanted to add: That the Travelocity agent was going through the same system as I did and mentioned that they can't do anymore than what is available on their website. The only difference is that they charge $25/person for what I can do myself. I discussed the fact that it made him go through all that just to tell him that there were no available seats. This was my problem. Hey, if there are no seats, then there are no seats. There's nothing I can do about that. I don't have a problem with that. But it shouldn't prompt me to go through all the booking info if there wasn't. That was what I was so frustrated about.
