Anyone have the Combi Cosmo?

I had a Cosmo. Thought I liked it while toodling around the house, then just after the return period ended we took it outside and within a block I hated it. Took it home, cleaned it up, consigned that puppy.

I'm only 5'3" but I was kicking the tires with every step.

We then bought a babytrend that I liked, but it had a low weight limit, so it lasted ONE trip to Disneyland and now we've had to consign it, too.

And now we're looking again. :)

My recommendation, after trying them out at the store? Get a Maclaren (any of 'em are fine, even the Volo is really nice even though it doesn't recline) or get a Graco IPO. The IPOs are *just* a tiny bit less great than the Maclarens, and they are much less money.

From my experience, they will be better than the Cosmo (even the BabyTrend something-lite is better than the Cosmo in my opinion), and they have higher weight limits (50 and 55lbs IPO and Mac) so, obviously LOL, you can use them longer.

I loved our Combi (older style, but same thing). It is NOT built for bigger toddlers though. DS is a very tall boy, almost 3 y/o and we won't be bringing it this time. His feet overhang the footrest and drag on teh wheels. It also doesn't steer all that well with his weight (probably 34 lbs). Before that, we have taken it on so many Disney trips it is plastered with Mickey Mouse stickers from the stores at Disney. Once you get the hang of folding it, it is SO easy and so portable. Just love it. I wish it were roomier for the bigger tykes. I am shopping for new stroller now, but I'm not sorry for the $ I spent on the Combi. I also liked having the bag and I used it when gate-checking it. I also REALLY wished I could have had that cup-holder on mine...

Good luck on your decision.

I have owned several different strollers since 2001. This is one of my favorites. It's great for traveling. I have taken it to Disney World, LA, Vegas, cruises, and Greece. I currently use it for my 2 children. My 2 year old daughter that weighs 27 pounds and my 6 year old sons that weighs 43 pounds. It is harder to steer with my son, but overall it is the best for traveling! I wish I would have started using this stroller when my son was an infant. Good luck with your decision.

I have a Combi EX from Babies R Us, and I don't really like it. I really liked it in the store and when DS was young (6-9 months), especially how lightweight it is and how small it folds up, which were 2 of the most important things for me when looking for a stroller. The recline is not bad and pretty easy to use, sunshade just ok. Now what I don't like about it: I am constantly kicking the wheels and I am only 5'2"; bad steering now that he is heavier (only 22 lbs); and DS can stand up on the foot rest, even while strapped in, which is very dangerous.
