DH and I are expecting our 2nd (finally) and need a new stroller. Our first got quite a bit of use and is a bit beat up. I want something that will last me a bit longer (and higher weight limit than the one we've got) and am seriously thinking about the city elite (one step up from the city mini that OS rents out).

Just wondering if anyone else has one of these and can comment a bit.

Thanks!

I had one until Jet Blue destroyed it on our way down to FL last week.

I was given ours when I had my son in 2007. I love the model. I will actually be purchasing a new City Elite in the next few weeks. I have a city mini but do not love it like I loved my elite. the number one reason being I love the adjustable handle on the elite.

Also my son is 3 and has PDD-NOS which is an Autism Spectrum Disorder so we use our strollers a lot. He is also the size of a 5 year old so it is a tight fit in the mini. I love the higher weight limit on the elite.

The adjustable handle is one of the main reasons why I want this one. Not to mention what seems to be a wider seat base. Not too many places carry this model in my area...I have to find one so I can check it out...but I'll most likely have to order it online. DS hasn't "used" his stroller for about a year now...but we are taking it to WDW in April because he's still little and will definitely get tired (although, now being pg, maybe we'll keep the same pace :) )

He's a very small 4yo and has already technically outgrown the weight limit on our graco. I'm not so concerned though...if it breaks when we're there, it breaks and we have one less thing to carry home. But, I'd like a stroller to not only last through the true stroller years, but that we'll be able to use @ WDW when the baby is older if needed.

I'm glad that you love it. Customer reviews are important to me. Especially from fellow Disers :)

I don't have the elite I have the classic that was discontinued this past year. I am getting ready to sell the classic so that I can get an elite b/c I am not fond of the square canopy on the classic, and I really want the adjustable footrest that the elite has. My first baby jogger was the mini and I love love love it. When my dd7 outgrew it I knew I need to move up the the higher weight limit and I wanted air filled tires for the smooth push. I went back and forth between the baby jogger and the mountain buggy and and I opted for the Mbus when I found a new zealand made for a great price. Now don't get me wrong I love my mbus over the baby jogger and really if I could combine the two there are small things that I would change by combining the two. My biggest love about the baby jogger is the seat itself, It is taller and sits up right more than others, its is a bit of a shorter wheel base b/c of the shorter wheel base the child puts a bit more weight on the front wheel. The baby jogger is taller and took me a bit to get used to it, the baby jogger canopy is always a mega plus, and I like the nylon mesh style materials used by bj for better airflow and ease of cleaning. The mbus has a longer wheel base which gives is a fabulous push since the child is not putting weight on the suspension which is much nicer than the baby jogger. The under storage of the mbus is superb compared to the baby jogger you have full access from all areas and it also has additional compartments built in to the basket, it also has the adjustable handle. The downside to the mbus in my opinion is the seat it has a natural recline so it doesn't sit straight up and the seat on my 08 model is smaller than my baby jogger. From the info that I have gather the bob is a kind of a cross between the two w/ the longer wheel base, huge canopy, and large seat.

btw~ my 7yr old out grew the mini just recently by weight but b/c she is immobile she is like carrying 6 ten pound bags of potatoes around.

I LOVE my double Baby Jogger City Elite!!!! We test drove virtually every higher-end stroller out there and this is by far the best -- especially if you have bigger children or want to use it for older kids. Our kids are now 3 and 1, but we have been using it since DD#2 was a newborn.

It folds virtually flat with one easy motion, which makes it extremely easy for traveling, especially at someplace like Disney. It also is very user-friendly -- from the adjustable handle (with is a godsend for tall people like my husband and me) to the numerous compartments to store stuff, the magnetic vents (as opposed to velcro which can wake a sleeping baby) and the almost 100% shade cover. Not to mention, the fact that the seats recline independently to almost flat which has also been extremely useful since our baby gets dragged around everywhere with her older sister and she is frequently using it to nap.

With our first DD we had a single Baby Jogger City Classic, which I also loved, but the Elite is so much nicer. We still use the Classic when we are going somewhere where we know our older DD will not be in a stroller much, but I keep secretly hoping that something will happen to it so I can get a single Elite to match my double. :)

I am so glad that I asked! You guys are just solidifying my choice. I haven't seen it in person yet. Only one store around me sells them and it's a pain to get to because of the parking lot. I avoid that shopping center at all costs during the holidays. But from what I've seen on the baby jogger site, I'm in love! I am short and regular height handles are hard for me (as much as they probably are if you are on the taller side). I also do a lot (well, I did with my first) by myself with the baby and it was important to be able to fold up my stroller with one hand. I could do that with my graco, but I am looking for one that will last longer than 3 years.

I also really like the full recline and the sunshade. It's also a bit different because we don't really have to buy much for the new baby in terms of gear because we have it all from our first. We just need a stroller and monitor. I'm thinking we'll get stuck buying a new crib because ours was a drop side crib and with the national ban on them, and the fact that we did have some trouble with the droprail before DS was born, I'll be looking for the most basic crib I can find.

Thanks everyone! Keep those reviews coming!

Three things you may want to look at getting to go w/ your bjce, the belly bar, the snack tray, and the PE board. I really liked having both the snack tray and the belly mostly b/c we didn't always need the snack tray. the PE board adds a more solid support to the seat back I just bought another one for my classic it was 14.95 shipped to me from baby jogger. I am part of a yahoo stroller group and i know a few of the ladies have made their own but I couldn't vouch for quality of theirs vs baby joggers.
