I like some of the paper books this company makes, and I have maybe 5 or 6 of the books, but my problem is getting the pages out without damaging them!

That thick glue at the top always either rips my pages, or gets stuck in chunks on the page, and then the top of the page is all uneven where I have to pick the chunks off.

Anyone have any tips to avoid this?

I really thought it was just me doing something wrong. I have the DCWV mat stacks and I ripped a few trying to get them out and the others have clumps of glue stuck to the top.

I have the same problem. One thing I try to do is open to each page and crease it on the glue. Kind of like breaking the spine of a book. It definately helps cut down on the tearing.

I never pull towards my body - -I think that creates the most tearing. I lift the page until it is perpendicular to the book and then go a little bit further (I guess that would be about 100-110 degrees) and then carefully pull away from my body.

I have had the tearing issues too. I try to cover it up with ink sometimes.

I have also had problems with the paper tearing. What if find helps is to also fold it back and forth to break the glue binding a bit and then I use my cricut spatula to cut through the glue. It's not 100% fool proof but I've had better luck than just trying to tear it out.
