Hi, i bought a Mac quest stroller and am wondering if the Mac organizer is a good accessory? The cup holders look kind of small and i am wondering if it will hold a sippy cup or bottle of water?? I know i am going to love the stroller but i would also like some kind of cup holding device. Thanks for any input!:)

We bought one last year for our trip to Disney and it worked fairly well. Not the same as a plastic one that most strollers have but it held the sippy cup and bottles of water pretty well. It was also great to throw the wipes in the net bag. Just make sure you don't weigh it down to much or it could cause the stroller to tip backwards when empty.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply! I am looking at another organizer too on Carryyou.com that looks good too but it is more expensive...Have to let my DH get over my needing to buy another stroller and then i'll get an organizer, lol!:)

hey nursejilly, I must be spending way to much time on these stroller threads b/c I also am letting my DH get over the 2 new mac's before I bring up the demimilan I want! :rotfl2:

I accosted. . .uumm, I mean approached reservedly (yeah right) a fellow mac owner at the boardwalk on a beach trip a few weeks back as I just had to ask how he liked his mac organizer!

the complete stranger  was very nice and let me know he had no idea what was on the back of the stroller but he did know it folded up nicely w/o being removed. I carefully avoided the subject of cost as he said his wife purchased it :rolleyes1 but did noticed independant of his rather brief evaluation that it does not attach to the stroller at the bottom 2 corners (which has been mentioned on these boards before as a cause for concern) and seemed to be hanging a bit loose. also those cup holders were small!

this Dad had remedied that btw, he also had a Valco (!)cup holder for his brewhaha extra tall coffee! :rotfl2:

I'm gonna try the demi milan for one mac and just use a 3 bottle insulated carrier with it's strap shortened all the way for the 2 sippy cups on the other stroller. <sigh> so much baggage but in the FL heat I must drink all day long or I will not do well.

Hey Nursejilly--I have a Mac organizer and have no major complaints about it. I love that it does not pose a problem when folding the stroller up. The cup holders appear small, but do stretch a bit when you put in a water bottle. I have never had a problem getting anything to fit into the cup holder--there might be some monstrous cup out there that might not work, but it seems to be made to fit the normal sizes of sippy cups and beverage bottles. The big mesh bag is great for wipes or jackets--things you might need to grab in a hurry. There is also a small concealed pouch that is great for smaller personal items like a cell phone, wallet, etc. Make sure you don't have the bag too weighed down when empty, it will tilt backwards. I think you will be pleased--we have had ours for over a year and have been thankful for it on our trips to WDW, the mall, zoo, etc. I hope that helps!

The organizer is "nice" but not a must. We combatted the "tippiness" by putting wrist weights on the front two legs of the stroller. It still folded just fine. I had researched online and found "tip me not" stroller weights but at the time you could only get them from online stores in the UK and with shipping they were ridiculously expensive. With that said I did notice they were now on albeebaby.com but I didn't notice how much they were - you could always compare them pricewise, etc to wrist weights and see. I absolutely HATE the sorry excuse for cup holders it has. The ONLY thing you can put in them are bottles and you want to have a lid then. I did just buy a liquid holster though that I LOVE so far. (It can also be found on albeebaby.com - it's kind of pricey ($19.95) but I think it will be VERY worth it on this next trip) My complaint is - especially in Disney - I have a cup of pop left and no where to put it with the organizer. If you squoosh it down in the holder you just end up with a big ol' mess - trust me. I'm actually contemplating picking up one more liquid holster for DH. Between the 3 of us we usually have at least 3 drinks so I think it will be worth it. We still have 6 weeks until we leave so I'm going to give the liquid holster a good run on our nightly walks the next couple of weeks and see if I really want another one - but so far it ROCKS!!

I have an Inglesina Swift w/ mac organizer. Fits small water bottles fine, not really any other drinks. I have the Valco cupholder, I LOVE it, it fits a fountain soda w/o problem, and the stroller folds w/o problems. I have this little bag called a jym baggy that you really snap onto a treadmill to hold a walkman(back in the day, lol), and I attatched it to the side for a little saddle bag, I'll have to test this out. I have the Carry You little bag--I'm not sure what it's called but it holds a sippy cup or cell phone, down by ds's seat, he keeps his sippy in it.
I love the idea about the wrist wts, I'm going to check that out. My mom likes to use the stroller as her personal stuff-holder, drives me crazy, but I'm sure it will be tippy.

Wow, thanks so much to everyone for the advice!!!! I love this website! My Mac quest is on the way and i can't wait to try it out. Isn't it funny how something like a great stroller can make a mom's day?? My sis got the Techno XT and i like it alot but decided to go for the Quest because it is lighter. I may have to get the Carryyou holder instead of the Mac organizer. Kiley, let me know how you like the Demi Milan!:)

Okay...I have to rescind the part about the organizer not being a "must". Some type of extra bag is a must. I took DD for a walk to the park last night in it without the organizer and was kicking myself by the time I got back to the car. First - I had a water bottle and although I had slid my liquid holster down on the handle I had forgotten to tighten it (so operator error on my part) so I can't really review it in use yet - but no where to put the bottle of water to start. Then I had bubbles, cell phone, keys - all of which went in the little pocket on the Hood which weighted it down funny even though I hadn't put much in there. So - although I was hoping to avoid it I have a feeling the organizer and weights will be going back on the stroller for this next trip after all. (I do still hate the drink pockets on it - but it would have been better than nothing since I had a bottle water this time :rotfl: )

I had a Maclaren Quest and now have a Maclaren Ryder. I had the Maclaren organizer for a while but I just never felt the "love" for it :lmao:
I also had the carry you demi milan and didn't like that much either.

I prefer the Valco cupholder on pretty much any stroller. It is very sturdy and holds different sizes of drinks.

Another option is a Skip Hop diaper bag or a Skip Hop saddle bag on the back of the stroller. I've had the saddle bag on the back of my Ryder instead of the side and it provides a good place for the sippy cup and a place to put odds and ends. Then I had the Valco cupholder up higher for me. I can fold the stroller just fine set up like that :)

Hey MrsDuck , before I shell out the bucks for the demi milan, what was it you didn't like? I'm worried it won't be much better than the mac one b/c it is still soft sided? I also want to put in paper restaurant cups most times not cans of soda or water bottles?

I plan on side saddles for my kiddos sippy cups/juice box or small restaurant cup??

seems like the valco might be the way to go but I'd need more than one $$$ by time I fiinish outfitting these strollers I'm telling ya!

And I guess I will just have to train my kiddos to stay seated until Mommy adjust the baggage b/c I did not pay all this money to weigh down my lightweight stroller!! :rotfl:

hhhmmm, there must be a perfect plan and balance to be acheived. . .which is why I keep returning to all these stroller threads!!

I love  the Carry You Pescara panniers on my Mac Techno (I have 2, one for each side), and just added the Demi Milan (which I wouldn't put a hot drink in, but it did fine with cups with lids) as well. We went to a local amusement park a couple of weeks ago, and I was able to totally skip the backpack. I was able to carry: diapers, wipes, and changing pad, complete change of clothes for 2 kids, beach towel, DSLR camera with extra lens in camera bag, small cooler for babyfood, 2 water bottles, 2 bottles of soda, big bottle of sunscreen, 3 hats, cell phone/wallet (in a Bagallini), a solarveil mei tei for when dd was tired of the stroller, and the rain cover, and still had room for souvenirs and room to recline, without toppling the stroller when we took dd out. I'll still have room to add the ponchos when we're at WDW next month. I only had to take the camer bag and cooler out to fold up the stroller. Well worth the cost!!!

We love ours! We haven't used it at Disney yet, but we have tqins so we have alot of stuff to carry.
